Unable to collect rewards for completed team?

My nephew completed the Baltimore Orioles team card collection in hopes of collecting the Mark Trumbo card as a reward. He has all 40 cards with a yellow strip across them saying "COLLECTED". However, the game does not recognize the accomplishment and he did not receive any of the rewards. I believe it still said 39/40 in spite of having all 10 rows of 4 completed.
- Is this a thing? Is there a solution?

- Does he need to collect the other Baltimore cards? (the ones you can see when you press L2)

Only live series are needed. Have any pictures you could show us that may help?

All 40 have to be collected at the same time.
So if he collected them periodically aka collected trey mancini two weeks ago and then exchanged him, even though has has already locked mancini into the collection, the card needs to still be in his inventory.
That is a flaw that used to happen in old games at least.

This isn't a thing anymore. Once locked in They cannot be sold or exchanged.

Square on the collection menu will let you auto select. Then hit start and lock them in. See if that works.
