Platform Exclusivity error

I have played mlb22 on Xbox live since launch and recently purchased in ps5 but when trying to link I get the platform exclusivity error prompt.
Has anyone figured this out? Also would Iike to know if anyone currently has their Xbox and PSN linked together?
