What was the point of adding the current call-up system to the game mode? Was it just to say you added more than one thing this year? I wasn’t aware that the four main factors coaches use when deciding to promote someone are HRs, RBIs, OPS, and BA. So no fielding? Hits? Errors? Maybe the other thousands of stats baseball fans argue about on social media when their favorite player gets called bad? Nah, those must be things of the past to San Diego Studios, or they just don’t know how to implement them in the game.
What was your big addition this year? Diving more into college baseball with more teams? Well, hopefully you don’t get drafted the first time by a team your player fits with, because then that addition will be completely useless to you.
Who actually play-tests the offline modes? Online creators that only play RTTS when Diamond Dynasty starts to get old? The 10 developers San Diego Studios has on payroll that only know one mode? Or the longtime SDS meat riders who act like it’s life or death if they criticize the game?
You can’t even blame it on SDS being a small indie dev team, because that would be dragging down actual small indie developers. What’s the reason the game isn’t on PC yet? Is it because they’re worried about cheaters, or because they actually have no idea how to do it? I’m sure some SDS white knight will remove this.
With anyone who has authority at Sony probably turning a blind eye every year, and 99.9% of the community being brainwashed, hopefully some company that actually has the assets to make the game takes over. Thank you, Xbox, for accepting my refund, and thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Maybe in the year 2057 San Diego Studios will finally have a polished MLB simulation game.
