@virusts_XBL I don't use the negro league cards exactly for this reason. They slow down an already slow grind. Same reason I don't use wild cards.

@BLAISEBLAISE_PSN I think so too. Or at least just not completely thought through. Fixing the wild card issue would allow any boss to function like a core, so it's at least a step in the right direction.

@YOSHI24_XBL I'm just about done TA, so it's not that it's difficult to do. I don't think anyone is suggesting that it is. What I am suggesting is, as a minor change that doesn't fix every issue, it would be more "fun" to use cards from the previous season and have them count for things like TA or season award drop missions. Right now they don't. If I want to use Jimmy Rollins because it lets me enjoy the game, how much more fun if he's not taking up the slot of someone who could be grinding me points. As it is, its better to not use wild cards and I'm not sure that's what SDS intended.
-
@Franchize34_PSN Just further reinforcing that wild cards aren't super useful as they are now. But they could be if they made wild cards count as current season cards. Not sure how hard that is to code, but it would be one change that would bring more fun engagement.
-
I agree with you. But I don't expect SDS to change seasons. They seem committed to it. For those who are just grinding for TA, whether ranked or offline, an easier to achieve win is to make those wild cards worth something. No point using them for grinding when they don't count, so it's an offered fun feature that just doesn't work. Make that work and it's a win-win. But agree, it doesn't solve everything.
-
I see a lot of complaints about not getting to use cards earned from the previous season. Also see gripes about being forced to use cards you don't like to earn TA points to unlock new cards. One likely easy solution is to allow wild cards to count toward TA.
Use those few cards you like and have fun with the grind. Instead of making it feel like work. We don't get that many wild cards, so this wouldn't be game-breaking. It would be a huge "w" that this game really needs.

@fubar2k7 I know it's a completely different type of baseball game, but I do like OOTP on the PC. Even they have some microtransaction stuff now.
-
Yeah, I paid $100 bucks for this game that apparently I need to pay hundreds of more dollar to be able to use the content. Dang I used to really love this game. But I am not this stupid. I'm not buying any of these packs. And I'm hoping another baseball game comes out next year.
-
Yeah, I read that wrong and got two golds. Never again.

Folks can argue if it's a bug or not, but please note SDS already posted in this thread: We are aware that the CPU is throwing too many balls in Diamond Dynasty and are currently investigating the issue.
-
This is reassuring. I thought it was just me. I rarely ever walked in 23. I swing at almost everything. And I'm walking several times a game now. Poor Griffey has been hit by pitches 7 times already. And I've hit a few home runs, but everything feels much weaker. With all the walks and deadball stuff, hitting just isn't very fun. Big problem for a baseball game.

So anyone else pause the game see the wind indicator on the pause screen? I've seen it, but it isn't consistent. Some time it's there, some times it's not. I think wind is in the game and they just aren't showing it well. It's like secret wind. It needs to be clear.

The pitching multiple innings moments may be easy for some, but the real annoying bit is how long it takes versus the reward. You put in 15 minutes to move a few pips up the chain. Really makes you feel the grind, which isn't great. Other then these, I don't mind moments. I actually like "re-living" these accomplishments.

For me XP literally wasn't counting to the program path. I'd finish a vs CPU game and the bar didn't inch up a bit. Individual cards still gained parallel xp, but I couldn't progress in the program. So the uninstall and reinstall took care of that.
-
I just starting experiencing the no program progress xp problem. I uninstalled and re-installed the game and it fixed it for me.

I'm having a hard time figuring out just how much difference it makes when the wind blows in. Sometimes it blows in at 8 - 10 mph and it seems very hard to hit and then some guy will blast a 450 foot home run. How much impact does wind really have on offense?
-
Griffey and that wall...totally agree, took surprisingly long for me. But Jazz I was lucky to get on the very first pitch. Love it when that happens.
-
I generally use the meter too. Last year it was very easy to use, maybe too easy. I'm noticing a little more challenge in it this year. I also walked a few which I generally never did. But I feel the more I play I'm adjusting to whatever change is there because I'm consistently more accurate.

I didn't use Mantle at all last year but the art version included with deluxe is raking for me. A switch hitter with that kind of pop, contact, and speed really stands out in the early game.
