@PAinPA I dont mind walking a bit more either, but I've had so many 4 pitch walks its insane. I think this was done as a way to slowdown gameplay, and somewhat hold back players from grinding out XP in a tiny user created stadium where you can score 30-50 runs a game, thereby extending out the XP grind.
I just think it needs to be dialed back a little

This how it starts off every year. After about a month, they fix it, then hitting turns to exrement for the remainder of the year. Glad I saved my $40 after reading these forums yesterday and today.

Mini seasons is almost unplayable because of this change. Just walked 6 times and was hit twice in a game (and easily could have walked 3-4 more times if I wanted).
Why does SDS ruin things that aren’t broken. They really need a better dev team.

It's getting out of control. When pitchers throw 2 balls in a row, I'll swing at the next pitch just hoping they'd throw strikes.
One thing I've started doing is playing assist the cpu on 5000 elevation fields against teams with great pitching, like the Braves. Strider actually throws strikes st a 50/50 rate, lol.
Playing against common and bronzes with bad control is much worse. -

Was this game even tested? It honestly doesn’t look like it was as of right now no matter the difficulty the cpu is constantly throwing out of the strike zone even hitting batters non stop. I faced a pitcher last night who threw 10 balls in a row that’s not fun and a massive waste of everyone’s time. I honestly don’t know how this game made it out of testing in its current state.
Why do you guys pay extra for early access knowing that this studio is basically using you as free beta testers before the official launch?

It’s too bad because when strikes are thrown the hitting actually feels pretty good. The wild pitches by the cpu are way over the top. The ball doesn’t carry in negro league or major league stadiums so it basically means you have to play in minor league parks or created stadiums if you don’t want the offline grinding to take a crazy amount of time.

And even then feels weird harder to get xp in 9 inning games it feels like

This is reassuring. I thought it was just me. I rarely ever walked in 23. I swing at almost everything. And I'm walking several times a game now. Poor Griffey has been hit by pitches 7 times already. And I've hit a few home runs, but everything feels much weaker. With all the walks and deadball stuff, hitting just isn't very fun. Big problem for a baseball game.

@VioletNine9 I wanted to post this yesterday but I thought it might just be my bad luck it is crazy how many walks you can easily get even on Veteran in previous games I would have to play on AS or higher

I play on rookie to get my timing back before getting into more competitive games and the cpu won’t throw a strike. This game is the worst at launch since the 17 servers. Which is the last time they did a beta hmmmmm

Patch tonight hoping ( crossing every finger and toe ) that some of this stuff gets fixed. I mean honestly game play wise outside of some things like this ( balls galore ) game feels like last year in terms of hitting. I mean I have some other issues with some systems but that would be off topic so will keep it too myself ( XP is less in games but we have to grind out a lot more on path ) -- oops -- LOL

This has been frustrating to say the least. I’ve had 12 at bats with 89 Mullins. I’ve drawn 6 walks. I’ve drawn 8 walks with Giancarlo Stanton in only a few more at bats. I get that this is supposed to be ‘simulated’ baseball but ultimately it’s a video game. Going several minutes watching the cpu pitch all around the strike zone is making gameplay extremely tedious and boring. Hopefully they’ll get this sorted out quickly because my interest level is dropping fast.

Let me start out by saying I’m a terrible hitter and swing at a lot so I never walked in 23, hardly ever. I’ve walked 6 times so far this year. If you’re walking ME, your pitcher is throwing too much garbage
