The thing is that double wasn't supposed to be there. It was a glitch. You shouldn't be able to get TA that easily. It was an exploit.

I'm in a White Sox MTO. I traded for Verlander and Soler. Somehow, I'm down 2-0 in the ALCS to Houston even after I acquired their ace.

Check their mid-season stats. They could just have breakout years. Also, check how many teams have their sole representatives as SPs. Those could be taking up spots.

Why when I trade for Lorenzen does the simulation never sub him in in the OF? He has the backup position and should get some time there.
