I am used to using the left stick UP to go forward and down back.When doing this in the show 26 I see my running moving the next base and then suddenly turning around... WTF??? I know L1 will advance all runners but I am more concerned with controlling my player. Is there a setting for this?

I agree with this. I have been playing RTTS for a few years now. A really needed feature would be to create more than one player to track. That would allow you to create a slugger/outfielder, an infielder and a pitcher and track their progress.
Base running in 26 is terrible.
