That's cause you DD casuals are stuck with default sliders which are always off. I would never play this game if there wasn't a way to adjust sliders to get proper gameplay. Something like baserunning speed could make a massive difference.

Agree, the fact that you can’t change sliders kinda stinks but I get it’s ranked. Once they update the rosters for the full season and OS sports has their full minors update, I will be switching to franchise

Yeah it’s definitely 23, just a weird change. I noticed they added more cards with the opening day so was curious what others thoughts, and if they noticed a different in gameplay

I played the pre release weekend and seemed like hits were playing realistic and ball was going to all fields and some pitches were really hard to hit if placed right like in real life. I noticed since the update with the game going full live, the hits are back to mostly home runs and pop outs. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

Made me now want to play this years game. They just brought back previous features and calling it new and then was like look, we have face scan.

Give us more, let us develop friendships and make decisions that affect our career such as staying out and partying and losing a couple stars due to it. maybe let us pick out clothes for the club house and talk to other players and just make a little more like real life. If I wanna be a nice teammate or a bad teammate, let’s have a reputation and maybe if I make enemies with players on other teams, some teams may not want you. Also, we need commentary to talk about feuds, and personality of player and more celebrations on achievements.

Huh so you’re playing with friends and this so called custom roster mode yet they’re exploiting it???

DD is already fantasy mode so why do you care?

Thank you for the well thought out response. Because it’s the only mode where you can play with friends with any sort of custom roster. So I would prefer if we cut out people who abuse what’s in place.

Hopefully they bring back online franchise or online MTO and I can never play diamond dynasty again. But for now the show only wants you to play diamond dynasty with people online so they can make more money.

Unfortunately, that's where they make all their money. So that's the mode that will get the most attention.

Yeah, I know, it’s kind of frustrating. You can do custom sliders in playoff bracket but you have to fill the team with all human players. I hope they at least allow us to fill with CPU players this time. Not all of us have that many friends to play with online. There is also a small online league play but you can’t use custom rosters and you can’t have CPU teams either which is so weird.

They had an online franchise mode before. They got rid of it because they said it was to much of a strain on the servers and was causing disconnections. Ironically, there are still issues with the servers; so who knows if getting rid of that mode was beneficial.

They'll never incorporate an online friend vs friend mode that has custom sliders. To easy to boost missions and stats. Pretty sure the reason they went to having at least 8 batters having an AB to get any kind of PXP towards that game is because people were trying to boost stats by sending messages asking to boost stats for free wins.

It's bad enough that you can use certain created stadiums to boost stats vs the cpu.

I mean, the only reason to care about boosting stats is because you care about diamond dynasty. Just turn off rewards for games with custom sliders. Simple fix. Let people play the game they want to play. And they turned off franchise mode back on the PS4. Madden, and NBA both have online franchise. It’s pretty silly that MLB does not when winning the World Series is what matters. The game is just too focused on diamond dynasty, and that needs to change.

That is definitely a significant sample size

Seeing as how this is only your 3rd game, I assume you don't know there are already penalties in place for bringing starters in out of the pen. Stamina for each starter that comes in will be used up for the next few games. Considering the fact that most relievers have better H/9 and K/9 than starters there isn't much incentive unless it's extra innings or a play in game for World Series.

If you're playing the tech test, I know the event from yesterday involving clutch had very few if any decent relievers. That would explain starters coming out of the pen.

Also, if starters coming out of the pen offends you due to the lack of realism, just wait until you see Future Star and Topps Now cards. Your head may explode.

Yeah, I agree with you it’s a small sample size. It did happen a lot last year too. And yes, I am aware a lot of the future star cards are super overrated. This game loves making stats for players over 100 so the game feels more arcade.

I personally think if it’s in real life it should be in the game. It will make a change to the game and would make stealing bases easier.

Please give us the option to pick our full team with Co-op. We can in the regular diamond dynasty. Why do we have to play with random silvers in the Co-op mode. All teams are stacked in 1 v 1. This is currently the only drawback to this mode. Also please get rid of the starter coming out of the bullpen in Diamond Dynasty. It’s abused, and it doesn’t really happen in real life besides for injury or in the playoffs. It’s just a used way too much. It’s also not even an option in regular Co-op mode, but it is in Diamond dynasty.

Never again. That ruined the mode for me.

Yes, we need online options for franchise. We need at least two player franchise and two player MTO. We also need the option to play regular games or casual games with custom settings. This game is too home run heavy and I would like to turn down the home runs. I would also like to be able to do a playoff bracket with just one or two friends and fill the other teams with computer players. Why you can’t do that in last years is kinda silly. We should also be able to do a fantasy draft or custom rosters in the playoff bracket with custom settings for gameplay please. Give us player options instead of forcing us to play Diamond Dynasty.

We have tons of relief pitchers. No team besides in the playoffs do they bring a starter out of the bullpen. Please take it out of the game. Everyone has great relief pitchers, and people bring out the second starter almost every game. You can’t do it in the regular mode but you can in DD. Please make this change.
