The only two archetypes that work as starting pitchers in DD are Filthy Painter/ Professional and Cheesy Painter/ Billy the Kid. Pedro and the others will only work as RP.

Yes. DD Team equipment only changes visual bats and socks for your teammates, no attribute boosts.
Equipment on your Ballplayer works for visuals and attributes on your ballplayer in DD. It does not appear to be working for attributes in RTTS. And sometimes it changes by itself... along with my stance... The game is very broken.
