It is amazing how many times Chapman has hit me in the Brosseau moment. I think he knows what is about to happen so he is preemptively hitting me. I finally passed it when I got a pitch to hit, but man he just kept throwing at my guy.

@DEF266 I sent a message to support and they said the codes were for a limited time. I followed up with a message asking how we are supposed to find out about these things. I follow them on social and I am on their email list and they didn't say a word about this. Seems like a stupid way to alienate the fanbase early on in the game cycle by hiding cards. Hopefully they find a way to release them again down the road. I found the Taylor card in the dodgers cards yesterday but couldn't find out how to get it. That would be a fun card to try out.

We can nearly complete the Braves rotation with lefty Steve Avery.
-
Tatis just helped his case a little. Judge looking good for it as well early on. It will be interesting to see who stays hot and who heats up. I have never played this game with a real season going on until now so this has been pretty fun.
-
I find myself watching games on MLB.TV now and wondering if I am watching a new moment for the game. The Calhoun moment is one that actually made it into the game. I like how it adds something extra to the games I watch live. This is my first year playing the game, and the actual season happening has really made the game more fun.

To each his own. Forcing to play at forbes at that time of day was a deal breaker for me.
yea i dont get the forced lock stadium thing. Doesnt make much sense. Thats not the only field around during the dead ball era
I think hey picked it cause it's teh hardest to hit dingers out of. That being said, I lost my 1st game to a walkoff Ken Griffey Sr. moonshot... I think he's on the juice now too.
Ozzie Smith hit a two run homer that bounced off the top of the wall twice in slow motion allowing him to round the bases. What fun!

I paid up and did the exchange. There was no way with the way that I play this game that I was going to get by this moment.

@Ch-76-1908 said in Top 10 SP I'd love to see added in the near future:
In no particular order
Pedro
Schilling
Big Unit
David Cone (Maybe the best pure "stuff# I've ever seen besides Pedro)
Darryl Kile
Chuck Finley
Kevin Brown (Probably the best power sinker I've seen in my lifetime)
Carlos Zambrano (My one homer pick)
Brandon Webb
Jose RijoOther suggestions?
Honorable mention
If they're gonna bring in 3 again like the Braves big 3 this year then how about Hudson, Mulder, and Zito? Obv not in the class of the aforementioned Braves but 3 good young SPs that all came up together.A prime Dave Stewart would be cool. Watching an old game with him on the mound yesterday reminded me of how scary he was to face in his prime.

The worst is three straight balls and then hit square in the back.

HOW DO YOU PLAY CONQUEST! Still, after all of these years, i have no clue. Ugh
I just figured it out the other day. Not to bad just time consuming. And still figuring out when to sim and when to play
This ones easy. Play = stronghold. Sim everything else. Steal fans for mission requirements I guess and for early boost.
Only exception is if a conquest map has an "extreme" goal like "Defeat XX Team within 2-4 turns)...then it might be better to play everything to minimize losses.
@jonblaze2424 said in New conquest rewards:

Start off by capturing the empty spaces. Every 3 spaces gives you 1 additional re-enforcement each round (called Fans). Eventually you need to attack the other teams strongholds and win the game to capture. Goal is typically to conquer entire map.
Nice thanks man
No problem. Conquest is time consuming...simming each square is kinda slow (used to be even slower/laggier too) and its super frustrating when you're up like 30-5 on a hex and you watch some team like the Os dwindle away 40% of your existing fans.
Other than that...there are so many free stubs/packs from doing conquest its always worth doing imo. I tend to use conquest for my daily inning missions and any offline stat missions for programs (im not a fan of the hit it and quit it method tbh).
Yea i completed the 6th inning one the other day(my first one doing) and I got so much XP and packs they are def worth it. Havent started a second one yet cause i know i will be on it for awhile lol
Dont forget they also give you like 30 points into the inning programs...some of the secondary ones like mothers/fathers day are also worth like 15 points. So if you're kind of close to a reward threshold, definitely be sure to do them.
Do you get the 30 points if you complete it again? The father and mother day points count towards the 6th inning?
You only get the completion points once.

I have thought this about the Live Series Awards cards. When I first saw Scott on the mound in that AL game I was scratching my head. I just don't think of him as an AL guy. Part of the weirdness of the Astros and Brewers swapping spots.
Have you also thought about how the Astros have a history of cheating?
Mike Scott's splitter had so much movement on it that they were always checking him for an Emory board or sandpaper. I remember that Keith Hernandez and Gary Carter were so befuddled by Scott's splitter that they were convinced that he was scuffing the baseball.
And we all know what the cheating Astros did these last few years.
Joe Niekro was on that team with Scott, and was famously caught with an emory board in his pocket.

@ItsaCanesthing said in Toughest hitters faced in HOF All-Time Program:
I decided to work the program backwards.
I took on the HOF games first sincE I had more time over the weekend.
The games were fun and sometimes challenging. Newhouser gave me fits, it seemed like his fastball had some extra "giddy up" on them. For those of you that have done the HOF challenges who were the toughest hitters you faced?
Mine were:- Gary Carter - Gave me fits, actually tied up a game for the NL East when I missed my spot on a Wagner slider. Besides that he was always getting on.
- Vlad - everything he hit was hard.
- The opposing starting pitcher - anyone of them- sometimes it seemed like the opposing pitcher was the other teams best hitter. I even had Newhouser hit a game winning single off Gagne in the NL Central game.
#3 is how I knew how the game was going to go. Still in the game in the sixth inning with me up by a run the NL West kept Dustin May in the game to hit. It didn't make any sense. Then he hit a dinger down the line and I realized that I was the stupid one. If I was having success getting the pitchers to miss then I would win.
-
I second what some of the others have said here. I am not a good player, but I only lost one Hall of Fame game doing this. I had my God squad in for the nine inning game, but a speed team in for the rest. The speed really seemed to manufacture runs for me.

@MLB365 said in Now that I have TA to 90%:
Agreed. I had 30 points to go for every team and i am just doing the conquest while i watch YouTube videos. I am done with the American League, now I gotta start on the NL. Definitely worth your time
I have been doing pretty much the same thing. Conquest is a fun way to play mindlessly and this 30 pack of maps is a great way to just try out these new cards and have it go towards something.

I am a dad playing the game. I have been playing games since color baseball on the TRS-80. When the game brags that it is in color you know that you are in for a fun graphics experience. This is my first year playing The Show. I bought '19 with my PS4 in the lead up to this game. With COVID hitting I am glad that I did. This has been fun. Great to see that others my age are having fun too.
-
Right? I walked on 6 pitches in the three hit game moment. I swang late at two balls to keep from walking on four pitches, and then the final pitch was so far outside it wasn't worth it. I just don't get why instead of making these fun they make them terrible.

@IM_BATMAN8765432 said in Has anyone had fun playing moments?:
I can handle the noodle bat but that combined with the pitchers refusal to throw in the strike zone is a bit much. Really needs to be one or the other but both is overkill. Need to make you feel like your actually reliving the moments not thinking wow this guy was the worst hitter of all time
I love drawing a walk in a game when you need 4 hits and you are the home team, so you are likely only getting 4 ABs.

that baseball game for TRS-80 was that "Baseball.bas" the baseball that came w the "network" bundle?
Mine was called Color Baseball. I didn't have a network bundle. I think when I played there was no such thing as a network.
they most certainly had a network its what we used in school at th time a simple command on your comp of "Kill Spool" would knock the ENTIRE network out and the teachers were left scratching thier heads. the only fix was a reinstall on the main comp LMAO!!!!!
I guess I should have said that I didn't have a network then. It was years before I had anything that would be online.

You have to buy the other two.

I am not an A's fan at all, but I remember how intimidating Dave Stewart used to be, and I would love to see him in the game.

I think people are pretty hopeful if they think SDS is just going to forget about FOTF and let people sell off 20-30 diamonds for hundreds of thousands of stubs and just finish the collection that way.
Yup!!! They've made showdowns easier, given you more chances to catch up...they might be part of it.
I have all the cards so I'd be happy.
This is my thought. They said you would want to catch on up the FOF series. I think that this is why. No way to know for sure, but just my two cents.
