It is a very difficult balancing act.
FIFA is always criticised for having certain players basically unobtainable.

I am new to the show and surprised how my team is already rated over 90. In Fifa after a month it would be about 85 rating and would still be using mainly gold cards.

Here is a tip for you guys, make different squads of individual teams. That way you get to play with many different players. Otherwise it is no good complaining about everyone having the same team when yours is the same too.

Today I am going to play with a cardinals team, tomorrow I will try another, it keeps it fresh

I appreciate that as our teams improve we should be smashing the AI, so am I righht in thinking they toughen up the AI to compensate? A bit like levelling in world of warcraft, you get tougher but so do the opponents.

Agreed, if you fail say 5 times then you should be given the reward for persistence. Nobody gains from being so frustrated you turn off the game
