I'm not complaining about the quitting aspect of disconnecting before the ball lands, as should have been obvious. I dislike quitting in general, but I get it and have done it myself on rare occasions.

I'm discussing what some here refer to as 'dashboarding', the disconnection by an opponent before the end of a play, thereby eliminating any statistics earned during said final play.

If you don't believe this to be a problem, there's not much I can say or do to help you. One thing which has fascinated me for many years online is the behavior of someone who feels it necessary to join a discussion merely to say that they aren't interested in the topic.

I have never understood the logic behind the same pitcher friendly quit. Is it just because you're both using the same card? If so, why stop there? Wait, you ALSO have Trout in the outfield? Well that completely breaks the immersion. Let me try to quit so I can play someone else.

If you both go to Billy Wagner as the first lefty out of the pen, shouldn't that also warrant a friendly quit? You both have the same pitcher on the mound, but for some reason that only seems to bother people in the first inning.

Just to be clear since it isn't always obvious over text, I'm not trying to attack you or anything. People can send out the FQ if they want (I'll probably deny it), but I just don't get why that should matter in a card collecting mode where there is usually considerable overlap in players used.

Somehow compute and register the stats before the animation of the actual play. This is probably hard to actually do though but it would register the HR before the disconnect.

Not sure how else they could do it though that would not occasionally penalize people with legitimate internet issues.

Sort by innings played. Look at the records. There's someone there who averages 23.7 innings per game, who loses...a LOT...and has never played a single inning except against the CPU.

There are some people that swing at every single pitch because they know that eventually the game is going to groove one down the middle despite the users input and they will be rewarded.

Happens on a regular basis. The worse the player the more lineouts I have.

In my next game, against the Marlins, one of the annoying fans who can be heard above the general din is chanting my name - my REAL NAME. The pitcher is named Sandy and Mike Trout is at the plate, so I can't see any reason why the fan would be chanting, "BRY-an! BRY-an!" over and over again. Other games have done such stuff, usually in horror games and usually on PC. I'm not spooked or even bothered, but it's very odd.

Very, very strange game, but fun nevertheless... reminded me of one of tge charms of baseball, which is that many times over, you'll see something that you've never seen before.

Edit: I just checked and discovered that McKay is a pitcher who hits quite well... for any player, not just a pitcher. Oops!

That's exactly what it is. All 5 cards in that choice pack (Larkin, Sandberg, Mionso, Posey, Jackson) have prestige versions available in the prestige xp path. You'll also find 99 POTM Thames, 99 Finest Jose Ramirez, and 99 Postseason Springer in that path.

I figured as much, but the notice for each "ONLINE" statistic doesn't mention the issue one way or the other, thus the question. In many other areas, notices specify that only stats earned in RS, BR, or Ev will count.

Weird that the CPU would have a defender playing out of position, especially the first baseman.
