I’d say if the mid their guys were worth more like 40k it would be, but even they are a loss right now. You’re 90% likely to lose stubs, so probably not worth it. I came real close - the allure of pulling a card worth almost 200k is real. But then I thought of A) how mad I’d be if I pulled a 6k card and B) how likely that was to happen and walked away.

Happened to me today as well! I was winning 2-1 in the 9th. He hadn't touched me all game minus his 1 run (a HR on a curve that I messed up the analog meter). 2 outs, 2 strikes. Next pitch, BOOM! I ended up winning in the 11th but still, that HR he hit in the 9th was just super fishy.

I have been rolling with Pudge since the beginning. Once I closed out the Dodgers , I have started Piazza and use a big LH bat as a pinch hitter (at any point in the game)...then bring Pudge in to finish. Good Defense...Runs well...lots of gappers for me.

I should have taken Posey at Gold 1 (by how my team was setup). But...I was bored by that thought. So I took Reggie for the fun of it. I use Yelich and Soto (FOF) as PH to bridge the gap at catcher.

No thanks, way more lineouts in 19. Perfect-perfect really does make a difference in 20. I've moved on from getting upset about defense, just worry about getting the next out.

It’s like as soon as I they start going in the right direction, the next years game just sucks even worse. I really hope being on cross platform for 2021 makes this game improve and live up to its true potential.

Contact hitters being effective made last year's game more exciting. Runners on the base paths. Pressure to pitch with a vibrating controller. This year we are playing a game where HR's are the deciding factor for every game.

It's boring as hell.

Well depending on which archetype you use, some will have a sinker or cutter primary. I know it may not be what you’d want but could at leadt be closer to what you’re looking for

HR Derby allows 25 XP per HR. Each HR takes about 10 seconds.

I have tried this and I lose all xp gained as soon as I exit.

You're at the xp cap for the day.

Seriously? How do you know this? I was still able to go back and earn xp by playing moments or conquest so I'm not so sure this is true.

HR derby you can get 10 home runs in one minute. That is 250 xp per min

timing HR derby it is actually worse than it seems. the load time into the game takes it down to like 85-95 xp / min (load screen, waiting on players, and play time). just running moments over and over is 100-120 xp/minute. So far, I think showdowns are still the best xp/min but you have to be able to complete them for the bonus xp.

I use the 2 player HR derby bc it has less loading. My math is different bc I dont always actually play as much as I let it run. If I just load up an at bat you can strike out and click to restart. These usually take 60 seconds and you get 110 xp. Showdown has its own time to get into the next moment and upgrading the team

Yes and make sure you hold triangle after the ball is hit. That speeds it up. so you can get 10 home runs in 60 seconds when you are rolling

yup i did that in the time trial. and that was just one round, the you can keep "retrying" afterword which takes maybe 1 minute off from the play selection and load. so really its about 230xp/min for every round after the first one.

20 mins seems like a long time did u turn off fielding and base running opportunities?

Get all collections to 30/40, buy two of everyone and sell one, it helps offset the cost.

this was the first thing i did as well. flip one, collect one, get the 30 for every team and you basically go up like 25 levels

I didn't count, but felt like I turned a profit doing so on some teams. Also did FA which was daunting, but now every now and then I go sell all bronze and commons I pick up along the way and get another 3k stubs or so. Doubt I'll ever get Mantle, but I'm leveling up fast.

Im almost there. I refuse to pay money for stubs, and I am very close to completing the collections. but it takes selling every sellable item you get along the way. hopefully its worth it.

I could drop $500 a week without blinking if I wanted to. But NO WAY I’m supporting this trash game and garbage company that can’t even respond to it’s consumers.

Why would I? So I can take my players that I spent hundreds of real dollars on into a game only for the game to be in more control of them than me?? I’m currently playing a few conquest games a day with a team of players I like and got for free....that’s all I’m doing this year.

The only logical explanation is they're being adversely impacted by the whole world, you know, melting around us. The content was probably created and packaged months ago and is just being pushed to us on a scheduled timeline.

There's no way they're not working on at least the fielding, especially considering how much bad press they're getting via the players tourney. For now, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they'll eventually turn this into a game that's ready to be released.

I was unable to watch the tourney. Is there any highlights of the players bad mouthing the game?

I find it unbelievable that it’s hard to find any negative press on this game on Google or YouTube. Especially in the shitty state this game is in.

Not a ton of bad mouthing, but a lot of moments like this where you can see MLB players physically holding in rage and expletives
