I don't think that's true. Handbook says 'when playing against an opponent who is set to a different difficulty, the game will default to All Star difficulty' I will say I got here because I was wondering the same thing. I face a parallel 3 deGrom who was also playing up...got no hit...and wondered if it was on Hall of Fame difficulty. Guess it wasn't and my ego has to just accept that lol
