Not sure if this was known, but I found tonight they added exchanges for leftover jelly beans. I was scrolling through and saw 10 jelly beans for 3k stubs, and 1 jelly bean for 250 stubs. I had 200 left over so I made myself a quick 60k stubs

Playoffs are 2 best-of-5 series (6 wins) so you need 1 more regular season win.
Thank you

How many wins do you get in the playoffs to win the championship? I’m at 16 wins in reg season and wondering when I can quit out til playoffs and still get the 23 win mission

@bjd10048 Thx .. I think the way ranked is set up … no reward will/should be the ultimate card, because it is not hard enough to get the reward. Although I did not make WS in either 21/22 I liked the rewards way more because it was simply a big reward for a big challenge. Right now it is only a grind … you do not have to do much, not even stay in the game if you are losing (which I do not like) …
In other words: No big challenge, no big reward.
But I like the xp proposal, it is somethingOr they should make it like the flawless rewards. If you grind the reward path, you get the pack as no sell, only get it sellable if you hit WS

@The_Joneser said in Why?:
@Nauracy34... No.
First off, the market doesn't exist so people can make "passive income" by flipping cards. I could care less about your profit margins when I'm making decisions with my inventory.
And you're completely wrong about the speed with which something sells if it's considerably less than the "buy now" price; if I'm satisfied selling that card at $42K minus the 10%, and I want those stubs so I can do something else with them, then why would I post it for a stub less than the "buy now" so some fake-market junkie can undercut me by a stub, and then someone else can undercut that person by a stub... why waste the time when I can set a price I'm happy with and move on to doing what I want to do on my time, rather than playing out some ridiculous scenario where I have to engage with the shenanigans of Wall Street cosplayers instead of playing actual games with cards I'd like to use?
No thanks. I'll take a few thousand less than "buy now" (but a few thousand more than "sell now") to avoid that nonsense and be done with it quickly.
Seems as though I’ve struck a nerve

@Nauracy34 oh yeah no, I never sell it for less than you would get from the sell now price after the tax, that is dumb. If that is what you meant in your og post then I misunderstood and yes I agree with you lol
Yes that’s exactly what I was saying lol

Or they just want to sell it for slightly more than the sell now and don't wanna wait. What's it to you? lol
Sounds like someone is one of those guys lol
Bc it can really [censored] with the market and fucks over anyone trying to flip
I guess you could consider me one of those guys then, sure. I don't flip, I earned all my stubs through playing and getting good pulls in the free packs from all the events and programs and such, and yeah if I get duplicates I usually just sell them for the next best available price lol
100% sell it for the next best available price. But if a card is going for 45k and sell now is 39k, people can make 1.5k profit flipping that card as a passive income so to speak, and then someone will come in and post it for 42k, and completely screws the market for that card. Post it for a stub less than the cheapest and it will still sell. It’s not gonna get bought faster by posting it for 3k less

Why are people so stupid when posting cards on the market? When there is profit to be made flipping, people just LOVE to post a card 1,000 stubs+ less than the next cheapest card to ruin all profitability. Post a card for a stub less than the next closest and move on lmao. If you want your card to sell so fast, there’s a little tab that says “sell now” for a reason

Has anyone heard when season awards drop 5 will be? On content schedule, it doesn’t say anything about a season awards drop on Friday, just ranked update, roster update, and new event and mini seasons.
-
People are mad there are more packs, people are mad that there’s too much to grind. Lmao I’m convinced that half this community wants every new card added to the game to be auto-added to their inventory so they don’t have to grind or open packs lmfao. Truly a novel concept that you have to play the game in order to receive in game rewards. I’d argue there’s nowhere near enough to grind. I’m able to play a max of about 8-10 hours per week and I had everything maxed out by Saturday morning

Opening packs on MLB the show is no different from opening a pack of Topps from the local card shop. You can get a bunch of nobodies. You can pull Mike trout 1 of 1.

Topps Now in packs is indefensible, period.
They released another new card series in a pack today as well.I think most of us (but not all) would be less annoyed by all of this if they gave us ways to earn just one of these packs when they release.
The one time they actually sort of did this was easter and they just ripped that away from us.

Then don’t play lol I’ll repeat this until I’m blue in the face, they should give a pack for free each reward path, but HAVING CARDS EXCLUSIVELY IN PACKS IS GOOD FOR THE GAME
As I said earlier, free pack should be in every reward path, but the packs are good for the game

You know something I would see your point if not for this ONE fact that fools like you do not get when you want to come here and insult people who DARE put down the almighty SDS -- here it is I hope you can read cause I cannot put it in crayon for you to better understand it --
In the past they allowed us to get POTM and Topps Now cards by OMG -- grinding to EARN them now they put some of them in packs that encourages us to buy them for example say for the collections. -- Do you get this or are you still clueless -- Do not thank me for educating you just use that thing in between your ear next time.
Ok, now let ME educate YOU. You can STILL earn just as many Topps now and awards players by just OMG — playing the game! They’ve added ADDITIONAL players that are available in packs. Also, you CAN earn the lighting player WITHOUT a single card in packs. Do YOU not get THAT, or are YOU still clueless?

Also, if you're going to drop 30-40k packs, at least make the cards top tier meta cards, lol. Most are mid and meh at best. It's not even worth the gamble.
This is where I disagree. The 30-40k packs GUARANTEE either an 89 or 92. If we are comparing to Madden at launch where max ovr is 87, they have 100k coin legend packs that you have a chance at getting only 78s. I opened a lot of them on Madden that were only 78s. For comparison sake, if those Madden packs were like the MLB packs, they would guarantee either an 87 full legend or an 84 that goes into the legend sets. The season 1 pack is 30k. The least valuable card you can get is Jonah heim and he goes for 13k. Your MAX loss is ≈ 18k after the 10% tax if you sell. You can also profit ≈60k with an O’Neil Cruz.
Most of the 92 rated cards are what I like to call, ((((FRAUD)))) ratings, my guy. Cards that say they're 92 rated, but in reality they're actually worse than the 89's.
Allow me to take you to school. After I'm finished, maybe you and others will have a better understanding of what I'm saying.
SPRING CHICKEN PACK = 40K
Odds of getting the (((92))) rated player is 1:5 packs. You're allowed to buy 3 packs at 120k stubs spent...- 92 Ryne Sandberg = 52,990. The most expensive card goes for just 12,990 more than the cost of the pack!
But why is a ((((92)))) rated player so cheap?!
Bc his card is not that good!
Most are using (((FREE))) 85 Termarr Johnson. Why? Bc with the Buxton boost, Termarr goes from a 85 to a 90. Not only that, Termarr has better fielding, more speed, and more power than Ryne's (((92))) rated card!
If you study the numbers for 10 seconds, you'll see SDS turned a 92 rated card into literally an 83 rated card. Let's dive in!
Ryno Samdberg: 92 His card rating says (((92))) BUT, is he really a 92 rated card?
I consider both Con, both power, vision, and Clutch as the main hitting numbers. Everything else is irrelevant.
In regards to fielding, actual Fielding and reactions are the two most important stats.
Speed, well Speed itself is most important.Ryne Sandberg:
Con R: 102 = Diamond meta
Con L: 97 = Diamond Meta
Pow R: 84 = Gold
Pow L: 75 = Silver
Vision: 78 = Silver
Clutch: 99 = Diamond Meta
Overall rating = (((89))) His hitting is good, but it is NOT a 92 rated card! Ratings should be calculated by overall numbers, then divided by every hitting stat to determine the average overall number, like I just did there.FIELDING:
Fielding: 88
Arm: 72
Acc: 77
Reac: 74
Overall rating = (((77))) And if u look at the card, you'll see a (((GOLD SHIELD))) Umm, SDS, you fail yet again! This is a silver rated fielder, not gold.. Smh...Speed: 66 = too slow for a middle infielder, imo.
Now let's combine hitting and fielding, then let's see what this card really should be rated! Drumroll!!!!
Hitting = 89
Fielding = 77Overall card rating: 83
The fielding brings the overall card rating down. If speed was included, the rating for a 2nd baseman would be reduced to a (((77))) overall!
This proves SDS either thinks their playerbase are a bunch of special needs helmet wearing idiots!! Or they themselves are the actual idiots!!
Ryne Sandberg's shiny (((92))) rated card is actually a 83 rated card. Numbers don't lie, lol.
His 92 is worse than Termarr with the Buxton boost. Now, don't get me wrong, his contact itself is good and power isn't bad.
But, the card rating says 92 when in fact it's an 83 overall. Hos defense has a gold shield, when in fact it should be Silver.Anyway, do some research. I wouldn't pay 40k with a 1 in 5 chance to get a card I'll only make 10k selling. It's a flucking insult to my intelligence!
This is what I mean by the cards are NOT worth the heavy pack price!So how in the Fluck do you disagree?! You're argument literally has zero merit.
Madden is a different game. They have cards that sell in the millions! With stats that literally match their ratings. It's much much different. However, I agree that u could either get really happy or really depressed very quick. That's the price of gambling.
The 40k cost will still get u card that sells for 20k with a loss only at 20k. However, why even gamble the 20k when your most expensive pull goes for just 12k more than the pack???
Do you and anyone else understand now?
Do NOT be fooled by the ratings!
SDS has been creating fraud rating cards for years! Simple math by adding and dividing will show you what the card is really rated.How does it feel typing all of that out to make a point that I wasnt even arguing against? Lmfao I didn’t buy that pack bc I didn’t want any of the cards. My only argument is that the packs in MLB aren’t bad for the game like everyone’s crying about. People have also cried about all the good cards being behind a paywall, and I’ve argued that the feee cards are just as good, if not better than the cards in packs, which this just further proves some of my points, but hey, thanks for “taking me to school” pal
- 92 Ryne Sandberg = 52,990. The most expensive card goes for just 12,990 more than the cost of the pack!

The trending towards stub only packs means potentially they may do a monthly subscription one day. Similar to GTA. $5 a month gets you one of every new pack and 20 packs a month or whatever.
Even though I’m NMS, I would do this and I would love it
