Title Updates: include new/updated face scans?
  • Mpweiss827_PSNM Mpweiss827_PSN

I'm not expecting anyone specific (or anyone at all lol),but was just curious. Do new or updated face scans come with the title update or with Friday roster updates? It's top of mind because I was looking at the Cubs roster and see guys like Ben Brown now has a placeholder face so was wondering when someone like him would get officially added.

I know from playing EAFC that new faces get added in title updates and then actually activated for use in roster updates.

  • New & Updated Face Scans Needed
  • Mpweiss827_PSNM Mpweiss827_PSN

I noticed that when it comes to players with generic faces, they are constantly changing them with each update. They put effort into constantly updating a generic face to the point that it makes no sense to not just give them an actual face scan. Putting in effort to make create one realistic face scan vs. constantly adjusting a generic face throughout the year that ends up being mid anyway sounds worth it to me. And I'm not asking for hundreds of face scans for MILB players. But we are LONG overdue for 2022 draft prospects. We should also absolutely have most if not all players from the first round plus some gems like Dalton Rushing, etc. And then guys that have made their debut like Zach Neto, Evan Carter, Wyatt Langford, soon Paul Skenes.

At the end of the day, as they fall more behind, we end up with rosters full of generic players. Without commentary names, or official stances. And although they've made progress giving us more options for created players, it still falls short when trying to replicate a real player. SDS needs to do what EA does with FIFA/EAFC and drop a major update a few months in that updates top prospects, newly promoted players, etc.

  • Tracking New Additions to Rosters
  • Mpweiss827_PSNM Mpweiss827_PSN

Are there any solid accounts that track when new players are added to a roster? Specifically when a player gets a new or updated scan? The official roster updates page doesn't actual include everyone. Noticed when Marcelo Mayer got added on 4/5 that he wasn't even mentioned. And then they mention guys like Jackson Holliday under the newly added when he's been in the game for a while. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the point of the page but seemed pretty straight forward lol.

Realllllly hoping they start adding real scans for guys from the 22 draft this year as well. Would be cool to have an social media account that regularly digs in to rosters to call out when these changes are made!

  • Updated Rosters: Adding Back Missing Players and Potential Face Scans
  • Mpweiss827_PSNM Mpweiss827_PSN

Know the next roster update may come either Friday 4/5 or more likely the following. First question, anyone know why some players are missing when they were on the game in 23? Players I've noticed are now missing: Marcelo Mayer, Robert Puason, Ryan Cusick. Curious if anyone know why SDS left them out.

Second question, think we have a chance to get quicker face scans for younger players this year? 2021 1st rounders are mostly covered, 2022 only included Jackson Holliday and was hoping we'd have some more off the bat. And then was hoping we'd maybe get someone like Evan Carter.

Only asking the second question too because they seem to have already been pretty quick with some face updates and definitely added a ton throughout upon release.. Bobby Miller, Emmanuel Clase, Gavin Lux, are some newer updates. Pretty solid.

Both those questions may be unanswerable and more for SDS (who refuse to ever provide any info), but thought I'd try here 🙂
