I would check your settings. I believe you can select when you want dynamic difficulty notifications. I know there is a notification option for when you progress to a new level, at the beginning of each at bat, and one for any time progress is made.

It’s only available on the PS4 version of the game, which is so dumb. You can play the PS4 version of the game on your PS5 if you want Sounds of the Show.

It is only available on the PS4 version of the game. For some reason they removed it from next-gen. You can play the PS4 version on your PS5 and sounds of the show will work.

Yes, I’ve noticed this as well, and I know others on the forum have also been experiencing the same issue. I’ve submitted a bug report and I’m sure others have as well. Hoping they can fix it in a patch, but I imagine all of their attention is currently on the server issues, so who knows if/when it will be fixed.

I'd bet it's tied to streaming and DRM (Digital Rights Management) on twitch.
Doubtful because their own in game music would run into those same issues. My only theory is that Sony does not allow, as far as I know, the user to copy media files onto the internal drive and either Sony or SDS does not want a feature that requires you to occupy one of the USB ports for an in game feature.
I’ve been playing the PS4 version on my PS5 and I’m able to upload my music files from USB successfully. The system is totally capable of doing it, so I really don’t know why the feature was removed from the next gen version. It’s really unfortunate.

I’ve been playing the PS4 version on my PS5 just so I can have custom music.

I can honestly say I’m having a blast playing this game. Did I buy the $100 version of the game? Sure did. Have I been affected by the servers and lost progress? Absolutely. Has it been frustrating? Of course. But has it stopped me from playing and enjoying this game? Not at all.
This is all coming from a new Dad of a 6 week old baby girl. I don’t have a lot of time to play video games anymore. When I’m not working or taking care of my baby girl, I’m playing this game and loving it. There have been times where I’ve only had and hour or two to play and the servers have been down, but I don’t let it get to me because I know I will be able to play another time. I think we should all be appreciative of the time that we do get to play this game.
I’ve been playing the Show since the PS2 days and I love how far it’s come since then. I don’t think I’ve ever been more addicted to playing The Show. Absolutely love the Parallel System. It’s been a blast playing with different players to level them up. I mainly play DD and RTTS and I know a lot of people are upset by the changes, but I have been enjoying them for what they are. Yes the bugs are annoying, but I trust SDS and Im confident they will work their butts off to address all of the bugs/issues that have been reported.
So I just wanted to say thank you SDS. I know you’ve been getting a lot of heat for the servers and the bugs, but I know you will do right by your fans like you’ve done in the past. Thanks for a great game and I look forward to continuing to play!

So, how are people feeling after a few days. Do you like pinpoint pitching? How's it going for those that use it? Have you gotten used to it?
I didn't think I would like it, but after spending some time with it, it has really paid off. I feel like I have way more control. I had to get used to holding the stick at the top of my motion before bringing it down to complete the pitch, but I am slowly starting to get more blue lines (and less yellow). Some YT vids helped me figure it out as well.
I am using a PS4 if that makes a difference - as I understand there is a difference between the controllers. The biggest takeaway for me was making sure I did my best to 'push' the stick to the outside when completing the circular motion. Even if I stop past the top point and am not in the circle (within reason), I am still able to achieve 100% accuracy...most of the time. Obviously YMMV depending on the difficulty level. I am on All-Star, so it's definitely more forgiving than some of the higher levels.
I 100% agree! Coming from a guy who has always used meter pitching, I was very skeptical about the new pinpoint pitching at first. In fact, I’d go as far to say that I didn’t care for it at all. However, I took the time to really practice with it, and while my first couple of games I was getting crushed, I really started to pick it up and make some really great pitches. I’m at the point now where I love it and will never go back to meter pitching. I feel I have much more control over the outcome of my pitches, and it’s really rewarding to pull off perfect pitches. For those who are struggling with it right now or unsure about it, I’d recommend sticking with it and practicing. You may find that you end up loving it like me. Obviously I know that won’t be the case for everyone, but I think it’s at least worth trying before you quickly dismiss it. Good luck everyone and have fun!

I have the PS4 version as well. Can you do sounds of the show playing the show 21 ps4 on the PS5 console?
That is a good question. My initial guess is probably not, but I could be wrong. It most likely has to do with the way the Next Gen imports music and it not being coded into the current game. If I remember correctly, when they went from PS3 to PS4 there was a year that SotS was not available on the 4 but it showed back up the 2nd year on the system.
I can confirm that this works. I’m currently playing PS4 version on my PS5 and SOTS works, but like others have said in this forum, there is currently a bug where you have to add your songs to the playlist every time you boot the game up. For some reason it doesn’t save your playlist.

100% agree. Extremely disappointing that SOTS is only available on PS4. It is such a great feature, and it should be in all versions of the game. SOTS is so important to me that I am playing the PS4 version on my PS5 by choice. I care more about that than any of the “next gen” features, which aside from stadium creator, isn’t much in my opinion. I don’t understand why they took this feature out for all other versions. If there is a way they can add it this season to all versions of the game, that would be amazing, but I doubt it will happen.

I’m really disappointed by this news, and I agree it should have been disclosed much sooner. I was really looking forward to importing a custom soundtrack into The Show like I’ve done the past several years. It’s one of the reasons I love the games as much as I do.
I’ve seen people say that Sounds of the Show works when playing MLB20 on a PS5, so if that is true, then system limitation doesn’t make any sense. I just don’t understand why they would take away this feature for next gen users.
