I’m calling BS on this, not because I don’t believe you’re in a freeze-off with someone who should quit, but because you say that SDS responded right away.

It definitely makes me drop a lot of F-bombs.

What exactly is a Try hard? I see guys post about this a lot. I’m pretty sure we all enter a matchup to compete for a win. Now I get it if the person is doing the R2 spamming and bunt cheese and yada, yada, yada, but if they are just trying to pitch and hit well then isn’t that the point?

Or you could just not be a soft little [censored] and quit after the HR lands or after an inning.

So what’s the point of this thread if you just planned on buying deGrom and not grinding the event to begin with?

Big Papi and his previous 14 alt accounts pretty much use this forum as a personal useless thought journal. Something pops in his head and he starts a new thread. 95% of the posts are either telling us what he plans to do/not do or just a ridiculous complaint about the game/his opponents.

The weird thing is the other 5% of his posts he seems normal like he’s trying to be helpful or alert people to new releases and stuff. It’s that other 95% tho...

Only time I use it is sometimes for moments when you have to hit XBH/HR with weaker hitters.

That was the most exciting and stressful run of games ever. I drafted this team last night and just played 1 game. Tonight after a few event games, I went back at it hoping to get up to 3 or 4 wins to end the night. I was in such a groove I didn’t want to stop and risk being off my game tomorrow. Got the best of a few goons in the earlier games and then was really shocked and fortunate to play some weaker competition at the end of the run. Last few matchups took a long time to get and they were actually with Bronze and Silver level players. Final game I won 7-0 so it was no sweat at all, but I was locked in on every [censored] pitch and throwing my fist in the air with every out that got me closer to the prize. Here’s the winning squad:

1- HRD Anderson(LF)
2- LS Bogaerts(SS)
3- SS Helton(1B)- guy raked for me .632, 6 HR, 3 2B, 17 RBI, 2.387 OPS!
4. LS Sanchez(C)- downgraded to Silver. I’d say he’s the reason I went flawless. Clutch all day. .733 avg., 8 HR, 1 2B, 17 RBI, a walkoff HR, took a game tying walk on a 3-2 FB just a bit inside with 2 outs in game 11.
5. LS Olson(RF)
6. LS Riley(3B)
7. LS Escobar(2B)
8. LS Kiermaier(CF)

Everyone chipped in on offense. I was def locked in. Outscored my opponents 71-19!

SP- Clevinger, Hernandez(MIA), Lucchesi
RP-Venters, Scott, Strop, Winkler, Jones, Pagan, Workman

It can be done fellas. I’d like to think I’m a decent player, but not great. I’ve made Championship series on my main acct 2x, but never got to WS(854 my best). I’ve never been further than 7 flawless wins before and maxed out at 10 wins as my best previous BR run. Maybe the goons are playing RS or Madden. Give it a shot guys!

Forgot to mention. I got Arenado as my 12 win and took Wagner as my Flawless. Going to try him out, but I def think I’ll be listing him for a 1 MILLION DOLLARS(DR. Evil voice) soon.

That’s the first time I’ve matched up with someone from the forums. Some clutch hitting late. Good clean battle though.

I play this game a lot. In fact it’s the only video game I play these days. I enjoy Grinding and grinding away because I like all the challenges and building up my team, prestige game cards, etc. but every now and then I get bored and want a different challenge. With the way stubs are in the game the last couple of months I decided to try something when they dropped that free bundle with the 5th inning choice pack the other night.

I started a brand new account. I got the free bundle pack from the shop. I took Mo and pulled the rare(cheaper) round in the Finest pack and took Acuña. I sold them both and started flipping 5th round bosses like a BOSS. In the past 72 hours, the only gameplay I did on the account was 2 Team affinity conquest maps(BAL/BOS), 1 RIB Showdown(took Baez)and some Moments. I am currently sitting at 2.2 million stubs, I exchanged my way up to the Finest player in TA4 for BAL, BOS and WAS. I have already put together a very competitive squad(not as fully loaded as my main account obviously, but not bad).

My goal right now is to get the team loaded up with players from the East and then attack the East event when it starts up. Pretty nuts how easily you can get stubs right now. I can keep doing buy orders and complete the Mantle collection already.

Can’t wait to be the Bronze 35 player with a full goon squad messing people up in the event lol.

So yea anyone hurting for stubs go flip some MO, Larry and Papi’s and you should be good.

This Finest Tucker is an absolute UNIT. Early in the year I used his LS in BR. Always loved his swing. This version I used a bunch on my main account and he was doing great for me.

I started this secondary account and I’ve plugged him into the leadoff spot both playing Events and in Ranked. All-Star, HOF it doesn’t matter. That swing plays and he gets tons of P/P contact for me and really does a [censored] good job in RF(speeds not great but he has gotten good animations for me).

I will surely send him into a slump now, but between grinding the Event and trying to get to WS in Ranked(currently 860) he is hitting .395 with a 1.376 OPS, 33 HR, 24 2B, 3 3B over 223 ABs. He’s has several 2-4 hit games for me on HOF recently and a handful of 2 HR games as well.

Give this guy a shot if you haven’t yet.

I feel like I do a super long grind to get a shiny new card and then like a week later I have to take Hammerin Hank aside and tell him, “it’s not you it’s me. You’ve done nothing wrong, but you’re not Mike Trout and there’s just no room.”

I need like a 40 man roster.
