So are they ever going to admit that this was bad game design and fix it or is this just going to be another "F our customers"? A "moment" should not require three outcomes. Period. Especially not a required one. Around half a million players have the other three cornerstones. Only about 180,000 have O'Neil. The MAJORITY of the player base (almost 2/3) can't do this moment but, yeah, sure, let's just leave it like it is instead of admitting we f'd up, again. I just wasted an hour of my life on this, and still didn't get it.

They are acting like a company who knows their time is limited no matter what and giving exactly that many cares.

@GCoblentz_PSN Why, so the forum is just shills so the people disgusted with the game think they are alone, and not the majority, which they most certainly are? Yeah, no.

@Sarge1387_PSN I'm pretty sure the writings on the wall for the franchise no matter what happens. There will be a The Show 27, because they have one year of that idiotic Negro Leagues deal (that I'm sure they paid too much for) left, and then the state of this company plus the looming lockout will likely be the end of it. Sony's obviously not happy with the P&L of SDS (thus the change in leadership a few years back). Being as things have gotten drastically worse since then, and only going down, I see very little chance that there is a MLB The Show 28, unless MLB itself just throws so much cash at them they have to make it.

@MattySpence503_PSN They don't have an exclusive license. EA and 2k don't make baseball games not because they can't, but because they don't feel it's worth the time. The reason the Show went multiplatform is because no one else wanted to make a baseball game. MLB itself made RBI baseball (which was horrible and failed miserably), so eventually MLB paid Sony to put their game on other systems. MLB needs SDS more than Sony needs MLB.

@DemIsE4_XBL There is literally nothing to even make you think that. You're not "dealing" with anything. You haven't got rewarded because you haven't finished anything yet. The only one that works that way is WBC. The others are 7 games seasons with two best-of-five playoff rounds.

@Raiding__Fridges_PSN Eh, it's more like methadone. The high's not that high, but it does last a while, and sort of keeps you from wanting the good stuff.

@abulargent_MLBTS I mean, that is a rather odd choice. Talking about doing it being a no-go but apparently doing it, openly, hundreds of times, on stream no less, no, yeah, you're good. I mean, yeah, sure, maybe they're playing some kind of long game, but it's already pretty long, and the only thing they've actually done is kill the WBC MS for the people that played it legitimately, further widening the divide between the wealth of the glitchers and non-glitchers. I'm not even mad, at this point, just honestly confused as to what the plan is here. If they think people will just forget, they've not paid any attention to their own player base, ever. People STILL haven't stopped complaining about collectibles and the Immortals grind from '18, and that was eight years ago. They aren't going to stop complaining about this until it is addressed or there is no game left. I'm not even offering an opinion on the matter, just an observation. That IS how it will play out.

Of all the problems that should be important for SDS to fix, this is not one of them. Have you tried, oh, I don't know, not looking?

@DemIsE4_XBL They are going to lose massive sales next year no matter what they do, because there's likely not going to be a "next year" of actual baseball. Same thing happened to EA back with NHL 2005.

@go4stros25_PSN At least with the Klarna thing, while they were still on camera, unless someone recognized them, they likely got away with it, because they never used their real names. With Chase, they were on camera, in their own accounts. How on Earth a single person thought that they would get away with that, much less thousands of people, truly is a statement on our educational (or lack thereof) system.

@DrBear100_PSN It was with ATMs. They would deposit the check in the ATM and then immediately withdraw the money.

@TripleH-4481_PSN I still think there is only one year on consoles left. They have to do the final year for the Negro Leagues deal, but I think '27 will be it. The mobile game costs them less and will likely earn them more, combined with the recent Sony push for exclusivity for first party titles (which will decimate their customer base) and the all-but-guaranteed looming lock-out/strike, I think they will be done after one more. That's my guess as to why they often don't seem to overly care how things are going because in the long run, it won't matter. I'd love to be wrong, but I'm afraid I'm not.

@DrBear100_PSN It was Chase, it wasn't a "glitch", it was check fraud, and MANY people went to prison over it. Idiots were depositing fake checks INTO THEIR OWN ACCOUNTS, exploiting the fact that Chase would instantly authorize for withdrawal up to 30k, and then withdrawing the money. It wasn't a glitch, it was working as intended, it just never occurred to Chase that a large number of people would commit felony check fraud using accounts in their own name, while on camera. Silly them.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN I mean, they've already done that, at least temporally. Instead of actually fixing the glitch (which, to my knowledge, still hasn't happened), they just changed the reward for the WBS MS, which was the most efficient way to legitimately grind base packs.

@Dolenz_PSN One thing that has come out of this is that it's painfully obvious that a lot of people didn't know the show logs every single game you play and keeps a record of that, to my knowledge, until the servers for that game shut down. I don't know how they didn't know that, but it's rather obvious that they didn't because they keep talking about things like "finding the exploiters". No "finding" required. All that data is already parsed, they just have to look at it.
