I use the Razer Wolverine V2. It’s been a great controller for me, comfortable too. It’s just nice not to have the abundance of dropped inputs on PPP like I did with the standard Xbox controller.

Apparently every pitchers slider is just filthy man.

That about sums up the vocabulary of most MLB Youtubers.

My pack luck has been rotten. Purple diamonds galore. Nothing higher than a gold from duo packs and I’m not one to spend time playing the market to flip cards. I would say compared to years past the odds of decent pulls has dropped but it could just be me.

I don’t buy stubs, and I don’t buy packs so I just sort of go with the flow. When it comes down to it you know SDS wants those stub sales, it’s their cash cow like every other sports game.

SMB will always be arcade baseball first. It was never about realism and simulation. It would be like EA worrying about All Pro Football 2K8 dethroning Madden. While APF and SMB are excellent games in their own right, it comes down to who holds the official license.

If the landscape was different and MLB sold the rights to EA, 2K and SDS to make their own MLB game, then there would be a discussion. MVP Baseball, MLB The Show and MLB 2K all at once would make for quite a battle.

I would expect this in a game like SMB, but The Show which is supposed to be “simulation”, not so much.

I like when the do the Jackie Robinson day and everyone wears 42 with no name, but I don’t want to see a team lineup that looks like a grade three spelling list. I don’t want to see a booger hitting cleanup.

I don’t know what the cost is to use a player and their likeness. Don’t know if it’s per player or with the MLBPA and Hall of Fame but with the long history of baseball and miles long list of great players, the amount is pretty sad.

Aside from set collections there is no point in having four versions of a player, you can’t have four Verlanders in your starting rotation. And players aren’t going to choose a 92 overall version of a player if they have a 99. So essentially you just have a bunch of filler that may only get used for a mission and then it’s off to the binder graveyard.

You mean you wouldn’t want Tony Bautista and his wild batting stance as a Jays fan? A 2000 Tony Bautista card would be so good.

Hairston was a pleasant surprise. Sure, he has Otis Nixon type power but he could find gaps and was an XBH machine for me.

Probably around the same time the disappearing custom logos bug in DD gets fixed, so maybe next console generation if we are lucky.

The right field for Skydome isn’t accurate and if I’m not mistaken they don’t have the raised bullpens either. The blue trim on the walls to seems a little too dark, should be identical to their powder blue jerseys. Mind you, that last part could be lighting since most of the time I’ve played there it’s been night.

Zero. Got some P2’s but I’m not playing a ton and when I am I rotate players quite often.

EA is dropping SMB 4 which has MLB legends in it, but it’s aiming for arcade baseball as opposed to simulation. But the series has been fun to play over the years.

I don’t think it’s a difficulty thing. I understand where the OP is coming from. I think it’s more of a time thing, you get deep in, hit some bad luck or whatever and it’s back to the start. Not everyone has tons of time to play. Maybe a buy in option like for BR entries would be an idea. Let’s say you lose in the fifth challenge, you can than have the option to pay like 2000 stubs for a continue.

It was an issue last year and it’s still not fixed. I think it’s safe to say at this point they either don’t know how to fix it, or just don’t want to. It’s the same as that drop down scoreboard that always shows the Orioles and Red Sox.

Don’t get me wrong it’s quite an annoyance and is something that does need to be patched. It’s got to be frustrating for creators that put a good amount of time and effort into creating logos and uniforms.

I still can’t believe the custom logos not showing up on jerseys or on the scoreboard is still a thing.

I was having the issue on Xbox using their standard controller. I purchased a Razer Wolverine V2 and it’s a night and day difference.

It was a documented issue last year where the input would seem to drop. I heard the Razer helped from others who played and I haven’t looked back since.

It’s not pay to win. It’s just pay to finish collections faster.
