Dynamic sliders in mlb the show - what they don’t tell you
  • McLovin6084_XBLM McLovin6084_XBL

Hello, you might be playing mlb the show trying to enjoy the game and nothing is going your way. For reason your timing feels off, early swings for hits for your opponent/your opponent is fouling off everything or your pitcher won’t throw strikes.

I’m here to tell you. The game is against you. Each player is put in designated groups when searching for a game. Your group can depend how your playing or if you spend money on the game etc. Let’s say your on a losing streak, the game will put you in group that will give you an easier opponent next game. Your group also depends on what kind of sliders you’re gonna get. Have you guys ever been on a good streak and you go up against guy, you know your better than. Terrible record and he just can’t hit. An there about to make World Series, and even though you’ve been playing great all day. All of sudden you can’t hit or pitch and your opponent gets everything his way. This is dynamic sliders. It affects timing, solid contact, pci size, etc. I’ve heard your connection also has a factor on your rng from what Ive heard the better connection you have the better rng. (So the low connection guys out there, your cooked)

So, Why does the game do this?
There are some answers to this, playtime #’s, Also encouraging people to spend money on the game because the game might make it seem like there “better than the average player.” If you look at there content drops this backs my claim, they leave better cards behind pay walls or you have to spend weeks to get the cards you want like some collections (also cards you need to collect to get some of these collection cards, for casuals it would be impossible to save up the stubs to spend on these cards you need. Often you will never use the card you saved up for but you just wanted the collection reward) They drive up stub prices for live series cards. NO LIVE SERIES CARD SHOULD BE 600,000 stubs. Lastly a lot less conspiratorial I also believe they could set it up like this to simulate the unpredictable of real life. But this is mlb the show video game. Built around fair playing fields. I ask please take this feature out of the game. I truly believe you are losing the community this game could make better numbers as well as make more money if there was fair playing space. You’ve lost me, others I know are lost But then again it’s all about money there will always be more of us right?
