Almost everyone is split between the Showdowns. I don’t really like them but it’s a necessary evil. You just gotta hype yourself up and keep it together lol
I’m not even close at being the best or most patient player and it took me 5 times to complete the Charisma Showdown but it can be done. On my final run I selected the players with the best clutch rating and I don’t know if that helped but in my head it did. Just gotta keep grinding and find what works for you.

I use timed hitting because that’s what I like. Never hit a curveball in the dirt for a homer but a high one, adios. No reason to on players who use it. I don’t care to play online so it’s no big deal. I just enjoy playing a few hours a day from the grind of life. So maybe next time let’s complain about something useful and not what settings people like to play with.

I’ve seen a lot of people for and against the Showdowns. I myself don’t like it sometimes but find it’s a necessary evil. What if SDS would change up how it’s conducted? For example, if you make it to the fourth event and lose, allow the player to pay the 500 stub entry fee to start at that same point they lost making starting over from scratch irrelevant? Sometimes it takes a couple tries and sometimes not, I believe that would eliminate most of the complaints about it. Like I said, makes sense to me but that’s my opinion. Thoughts on that type of change?

I don’t play online but played a good number of games yesterday against the cpu and noticed they don't foul off 10+ pitches anymore several times a game. The most the cpu had was 4 a few times, so that was a pleasant experience.

I also thought hitting had changed as well but I figured out it was me and took a break for a day and lo and behold I could hit again. It be like that sometimes haha!

So this is no complaint but an observation. Does anyone else notice the cpu hitting a lot of homeruns compared to base hits? Always seems like more than half to all the hits against me are homers. Now the pitches are not juicy out over the plate ones but down and in/away, high and in/away or outside corners. I chalk it up to “it be like that sometimes”, but it does get frustrating.

I don’t know why people play online if they have issues with it. I don’t play online cause I suck at playing other people, simple as that. I only played online to get my 2 eggs. Other than that I play against the cpu but I keep it fresh by making a crappy team, middle of the road team and a team with one player from each card series. Gotta find what you like and not whine over the little things. Yes, I know I’m losing out on cards but I play just to relax and enjoy my alone time. I’ve collected almost all the cards I need for LS and Set 1 with a few exceptions.

So NCAA Football is back with a release of July 19th. Although I like The Show, I’ll probably play more football honestly. I see a lot of people flocking to football. Opinions?

FYI, Jim Edmonds is a legend. Only homer of the game was him and it counted towards the 3.

So I might be in the minority here, but I don’t understand all the complaints here sometimes. I understand it’s a subjective opinion on the game but still. I’m a totally offline player because online is very toxic and I play for relaxation. I don’t care about collecting every single card or if you ain’t first you’re last mentality. After I complete all TA and other programs I challenge myself by playing with nothing but live series games on DD. Whatever team I'm playing I replicate their lineups and pitching staff and I play at their ballpark. I work on what I have issues with and try out what pitches to throw to certain batters. It’s not a high scoring affair always but it’s fun to actually be challenged. Just thought I’d share my perspective on how I see and play this game.

I don’t know if it’s me or are some of these TA moments weird. I was playing the 5K & 2 walk moment with Spencer Strider and the cpu hit everything, took almost 6 innings to get my k’s. I then play the 2 scoreless inning one with Sonny Gray and the cpu is looking at pitches and can’t hit, 6k’s in the two innings. It’s just weird that some just play that way.

Not sure which update it started happening after but it feels like I’m hitting into more double plays playing vs. CPU. It seemed to be happing every once in a while but now I hit into 3-6 dp’s a game. On the cpu defense part, there have been instances of outfielders diving towards the wall making miraculous over the head catches. Imagine Willie Mays catch but diving. This happens at least twice a game. Thoughts?

Very insightful Einstein, never would’ve figured that out on my own. This post wasn’t a complaint, more of an observation with any feedback of others experiencing this.

Just seeing what everyone’s switch hitting squads look like for moonshot. I had pretty good success with this squad.

Just a thought but what about a regular DD Season? Same format as a mini season but you can play a full 9 innings. Sometimes while playing mini’s it can be hard to get in a rhythm or have consistency. I’d play for sure since I’m exclusively an offline player.

I think it’s the player and not the cards. I play consistently in all the different modes with the cards I use. Sometimes I just play too much or just have timing issues, I just chalk it up to “it happens”
