And I would argue that every Diamond Duo pack is a paywall. Yes you can earn those packs for free in programs but let's be honest and admit that the overwhelming majority of players will never earn any 99's from those packs. The odds are not in our favor. For those of us who have not been lucky the only way to get them is with a, usually significant, outlay of stubs.

Using pack luck as a argument against something being a paywall is a pretty weak argument in my opinion.

Forty Four 99 overall diamonds released so far in Diamond Duo packs is more than 3 or 4 cards. You may think that people are exaggerating the issue and that is fine but exaggerating your position to counter them is no different.

Of course maybe in the end we all have varying definitions of what exactly a pay wall is.

I was off for just about 2 months when MLB dropped. Played like crazy finishing both TA programs very quickly and reaching the free spin very quickly. I have gotten countless Diamond Duo packs and have yet to pull a Diamond of any kind from them. Not a 99 nor an 85. I keep waiting thinking the next one will be the one but nada.

I have had good pack luck this year though. Pulled Trout on release, WBC 99 Ohtani, 99 Darvish, Mantle, etc... just never from a Duo pack.

So a few days ago, I ran the pause clock out and was shocked to get the win with a 0-4 score. Now I just had a game where I went up 1-0 and then the game hesitated and then came up with the message 'lost connection with opponent' indicating they quit. But somehow I got the loss. I guess it falls under the category of the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. But still annoying they can't clean up this issue.

Caleb Kilian, basically any pitcher with a sinker/cutter pitch mix, Tim Hill in the pen is a must.

This. I was playing some quick Conquest games and noticed that my wheel wasn't filling up. After about the 5th time I exited the screen and went into the Programs tab and selected the Season 1 tab.

That sucker filled up with 20K that must been banked.

Also, I've noticed that if you do get the animation and spin after you accept the reward of you don't exit the tab but go over to PXP Progress; even though you just earned PXP (if you played a game that allowed it) it's always blank.

Happened when I was trying to figure is the Charisma program. Never thought to check through the Squad tab, before entering a game, but I completed the Program about 2 Conquest games prior to when I actually checked.

I got burnt out from grinding last year that I would
Spend 90% of my week grinding for new cards and only 10% playing ranked with those new cards.

Decided this year to not do that. I’m only grinding the monthly’s which isn’t so bad this year

To get the massive 99s I got no chance. And have no desire too. I’m not a fan of this route with the sets being locked in. It’s, just like Fifa causing everyone to pretty much get the same team early doors.

Blows my mind how people are able to play against the cpu for ungodly amount of hours just to obtain cards or buy stubs to rip packs and buy theses 99s. I’ll get bored of playing the cpu after a couple games

I'd say it is probably because people have different ideas of what fun is and also have different ways of how they have fun with this game. People play the game for different reasons just like some people play DD and some play other modes exclusively. If your mind is blown by such a simple concept, I feel bad for you!
Let me guess.. you have babe Ruth, ken Griffey jr, 99 Derek jeter and all those 99s already… I feel bad for you!
