So I’m almost to Gold 1 and I’m not so much looking for your suggestions (although I’ll post my team and take them) but what is your strategy when you reach silver, gold or diamond 1? Do you take the position you need most or the “best available” player?

In case you want to give me some advice, my team is:

1. Rickie Henderson-CF (pretty new to the team, hitting right at .300 in about 25 AB’s)
2. Tony Gwynn-RF (brand new to the team)
3. Minnie Minoso-LF (hitting .270 in about 75 AB’s)
4. Nolan Gorman-3B (new to the team, hitting over .400 in about 10 AB’s)
5. Mike Piazza-C (new to the team, hitting over .400 in about 10 AB’s)
6. Jason Giambi-1B (hitting .300 in about 100 AB’s)
7. Gleyber Torres-SS (hitting .280 in about 175 AB’s, planning on replacing with Chipper)
8. Roberto Alomar-2B (hitting .300 in about 70 AB’s)

Also, I am terrible with Posey every year and I’ve used him in BR and showdown this year and have gotten maybe 2 hits in about 20 AB’s. Suggestions and also your strategy?

I know this is asked all the time, but I’m currently using a 55” 4K TV with 10.6ms response time at 60Hz on game mode. Would I be better off with a monitor that has a 1ms response time? Would I notice a big difference? What has worked for y’all? Thanks in advance!

This is meant to be a serious question, not bashing one game or another? Do you feel like you’re having more fun in 20 than you did in 19? If so, why, and if not, why not?

This is a PSA to everyone because a lot of people seem to say things like this. I’m not trying to be disrespectful, but to help. This isn’t how odds or probability works. When it says 1:50, that doesn’t mean in 50 packs you’re guaranteed a diamond. It means each individual pack you have a 1:50 shot. Let’s say you have a bundle of 50 packs. On pack one, you have a 1:50 chance at a diamond. Then when you open pack two, those same odds repeat and you have a 1:50 chance at a diamond.

Think of rolling a die. You roll once and you have a 1:6 chance to roll a 6. You roll a 3. You roll the die a second time, it doesn’t then become a 1:5 chance, it’s still 1:6. When you open one pack in a bundle of 50, it doesn’t change the odds for future packs. You could roll 1 die 150 times and never roll a 6. Just like you could open 150 packs and never pull a diamond. It’s completely random. (Unless you buy stubs in which I’m convinced that increases your pack odds ).

I know the inning showdown can be done more than once but is the 70 stars earned each time or just the stubs and XP?

If you are even somewhat decent at this game, you won’t lose stubs. On the 1st inning showdown, if you only pass the first elimination showdown you make your stubs back. I agree that it’s dumb that you have to pay to play. But if you just pass a little bit you don’t actually lose stubs.

Anybody else having an issue where you get on base and it’s “action pitches” only? I’m literally not getting an opportunity to steal a base. I changed my setting and it’s still doing it. Anybody else?
