Is there any timeline on when there is going to be new equipment in the game? I feel like there are sprinkles of new equipment, but it seems like the equipment has been the same for three years now.
Also, I wish there was a color palette for changing the color, tint, and shade of equipment similar to the ones that are used for hair when creating a character.
My apologies. I just figured out how to edit my team. My settings for franchise mode were set to streamlined, which took the ability away from me.
I am very disappointed in some of the changes to Franchise Mode this year. A lot of what I loved and enjoyed about the mode was its customization. If a player changed the color(s) of their glove or gear, or the way they wear their uniform in real life, I could change it in the game any time I wanted. Like how David Wright would wear high socks during day games. Or how Francisco Lindor sometimes wears high socks or low pants.
Now, I can only edit players before I start the mode and that's it. If I forget to edit a player, miss something, or mess up, I have to start the mode/season all over again.
I've been so disappointed by this that I haven't even really played the mode or the game itself.
I have been playing this game from the beginning and that ability to edit and customize my players was one of my favorite things about running a franchise.
This was an unwelcomed change that feels like a subtraction, digression, and step backwards for the game and MLB The Show franchise. I don't feel like I'm controlling a team when I am hindered to not being able to edit players.
I have always been a fan of MLB The Show, and have played every game every year since the beginning. I have a few ideas that I think could help make the process of creating and editing players. I think that having a color wheel or palette, instead of the standard, default colors so users can make the players' equipment different colors since a lot of MLB players have different colored equipment than their team's colors. It would be nice to change the shade of the colors of the equipment.
I also think there should be different styles of how players could wear their uniforms as each era/generations has their own style. Whether a player wears their uniform loose/baggy (like Manny Ramirez), form-fitting/tight (like Tyler O'neill), their pants above their knees (like Bo Bichette), their pants like joggers around their ankles (I know this is currently in the game), or the pants over the heel of their cleats (like Vlad Jr.).
And lastly, please have different options for cleats. It would be nice to have an option to choose either the high- or low-top Nike Huaraches. Or different styles of the Jordan 1s, or Jordan's in general. I would like to have different options of cleats. I know that there are probably licensing issues or not having the ability to put them in the game, but I hope that there could be an equal amount of styles of cleats for every company available. And to relate this suggestion to my first point, we should be able to customize every part of the equipment color-wise, not just certain parts.
