this one was at the transition of the end of an infield play to the next batter. I threw over to 3B to hold the runner there after a ground out to 1B. The play was called dead after a few seconds, but screen never changed to the next batter up. just sat there at 3B.

Only happened to me a couple times, but I am currently in a Freeze off of a 1-1 game and its my 12th game of a streak. I was planning on quitting if the guy lasted a couple hours, but then he messaged me all this nonsense about how many PS4's he has and that he can just play other accounts (which just came off as douche-y and a desperate attempt to get me to quit)... so that was enough for me to dig in. His record was 300 something and 100 something so you know this is his pride and joy team.
That was Friday evening and its Sunday morning 34 hours 45 minutes so far. I happen to be on twitch for a friend that was watching my streak. I left it going to count this freeze off time:
I actually enjoy other things in my life so don't really mind not playing for a while and taking a break. should I continue to see how long this goes?

There is definitely something written in. If my team had inning splits, i'd be .400 OPS in innings 1-6 and 2.000 OPS in 7,8,9.
I have a theory that its relative to CLT and PCLT and think they kick in in late innings and when behind.
So look for RP/CP's with really high PCLT to balance out the CLT of the batters... idk.

ya man, I don't know what to tell you. there is no secret. I don't have anyone playing on my account. I just have it on all day every day. I guess that is embarrassing in its own right... but there is no secret to it. The clock must be ticking when on pause cause I can tell you I have not been actively playing 16 hours a day since release. but I have it on all day every day and I do play A LOT of my day.

You would have to average 16 hours per day since launch
I work from home... which means I play the show all day every day. I just play a lot. An I leave it running and paused in the background when I have to work. Its mostly vs CPU play. thats why Im not good online. I dont play much online

Im no Dev of the game, and I have my suggested tweaks, but come on man, at some point you have to be ok with it. Every small adjustment one way or another upsets people as much as every slight rule change in real life upsets 50% of the fans. It is what it is. Its so hard to compare this to real life. Sh*t happens in real life too. Bad games happen. Worse teams win sometimes. [censored] pitchers get CGSO's. Also what doesn't happen in real life: All star God teams where everyone in the lineup is a HOF power hitter... if there were a team like that... i would suspect that team would be launching HR's worse than this game does. Not against making suggestions, but I am starting to feel for these dev's that just cant win. there is no way to satisfy everyone.
patch didn't change gameplay to make me more better. I want to be more better. Make me more better! SDS is more worse! patch is more worse.

same exact location for me today and it was 102 mph to boot. same result. he was early and HR. I couldn't have thrown it higher if I tried.
Edit: I will add that I am perfectly fine with HR on FB high above the zone... but the variables have to be right. The batter needs to have the vision and power, the swing needs to be perfect. Then it will happen as often as it does in real life... which it does happen. but if when its not even good, let alone perfect timing... no. just no.

Because you can pull the PCI out of the zone, so you can reach there for perfect input. I miss the days of 16/17 though where chasing pitches high above the zone would always result in a weak flyout.

Video of HR's on FB's high out of the zone3 of those HR's werent absurdly high at all. So we have 3 or 4 examples in the history of the game and people are arguing that this should be the rule in the game? Come on.
that was just a short video on the first one i googled. there are numerous examples and videos out there. I names players I have personally seen do it and many times and none of them were even in that video. Just last year, Yordan Alvarez hit an low inside ball that was a foot inside and low. was literally a golf swing of JA HAPP, it went 400. Khris Davis has done it 5+ times a year on high fastballs just like that video and every time people are shocked. Javier Baez also is known for taking pitches way out of the zone yard and often. just saying there are players that are really good at it if they square up and time it. so the same should be in the game. doesn't mean you didn't make it a really hard pitch to hit, but there should always be a window to get the PCI to the ball and in time, and if you do and have the right player (power attribute) then it goes yard and it should happen.

Its just pride of accomplishment isn't it? I am proud that I completed the collection without having to. I don't mind that other people spend to get who they want. Not everyone has the hours I have to play the game to the point where I could make the collection just from rewards/cards selling. So to each their own, but not going to say I'm not proud of accomplishing it either.
I think it is also funny that all the best rewards come at the final stages of prestige levels... and at that point, you don't need or care about any of them... you have most likely made the collection by then (I made it at 65 and had the absolute worst luck pulling diamonds this year)...
So I don't really care about the 90+ high diamond live, the 5 ballin is a habit packs, and the 30k stubs rewards now. I needed all that 50 prestige levels ago.

Minoso and Larkin are actually my two highest OPS on the team. I have didi on the bench if I really need a righty hitter, but Larkin seems to come through clutch for me. even has 5 HR vs Righties. Minoso is amazing, you can swing closing your eyes and get base hits with him. Posey is meh. I go back and forth on him or 99 Thames at 1st depending on need.

just hit prestige 65. I finished the collection tonight. I had the worst luck with diamond pulls this year... 31 Ballin is a habit packs... no diamonds in any of them. so I had to sell everything when I got it to make the collection happen. Just got JoRam, Biggio, and Mantle tonight. Ill be playing tomorrow with them to see how I like them. I refuse to take the springer 99 out of protest.
