It's actually not eye level,though by the rule book it should be. top of the strike zone is just above the belly button,which is accurate to real life, from the rule book it should be the bottom of arm pits but hasn't been that in over 20years.
Going by just above belly button - I estimate that pitch to be bottom of the collar bone.
What? Top of the strike zone is shoulder height. This is above eye level.
According to rule 2.00 of the Major League Baseball rule book, a strike zone is defined as "that area over home plate the upper limit of which is a horizontal line at the midpoint between the top of the shoulders and the top of the uniform pants, and the lower level is a line at the hollow beneath the kneecap" and is determined by "the batter's stance as the batter is prepared to swing at a pitched ball."
The strike zone isn't the shoulders. It's the middle point between top of the pants and shoulders.
Who hit the ball and where were you playing?
Yeah it is, you're right. Are you okay with this being a 2 run homer regardless of circumstances? On this feedback?
I don't know, it is easier to formulate an opinion when I have more information. Depending on who it is that hit it it could be possible. Terrible luck on your part, but still possible.
I won't ever accept feedback like this being anything other than a pop up. Ever.

once you realize this is a video game that grown men and adolescents play then you will understand why SDS does not make it that realistic. They act like it's a simulation but it's more of a dungeons & dragons dice roll game with some user skill added in along with fancy graphics

Are you FFFFFFing kidding me? I knew exactly what my opponent was looking for. I read him like a book. I knew he was gonna chase, so I spot the pitch extra high. Because you know... in this game you can never be to sure, those can still be crushed. But I've NEVER seen anything like this before and it actually turns my stomach.
Edit: my pitcher was O'Day with full stamina.
Lol..how tall was the batter? Be awesome if it was altuve lol

same exact location for me today and it was 102 mph to boot. same result. he was early and HR. I couldn't have thrown it higher if I tried.
Edit: I will add that I am perfectly fine with HR on FB high above the zone... but the variables have to be right. The batter needs to have the vision and power, the swing needs to be perfect. Then it will happen as often as it does in real life... which it does happen. but if when its not even good, let alone perfect timing... no. just no.

Just goes to show you that as a pitcher, you are never safe from a solo shot, even if you throw it in the visiting team dugout they can still get a early okay bomb

I honestly don't know what's worse, the fact that this is possible or the fact that are actually people defending this occurence. If I would hit a bomb on a pitch this high, I'd be the first to call BS and apologize to my opponent.

Well now maybe you understand why people get annoyed by your defending of things that are quite obviously a problem.

It sucks to give up HRs on pitches outside the zone especially that far but it happens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTpUc_42g8s That's a video of Eddie Rosario going deep on a ridiculously high pitch and you can find plenty more. While balls hit around 93 MPH are HRs in this game far more often then they should based on physics, I actually think that HRs on pitches outside the zone are much less frequent in this game than in real life, likely because if something like this happened all the time, people would be freaking out

The one thing this thread has shown me is that people will defend anything in this game. I only hope SDS doesn't see the comments defending this and think its justified

I think I have an actual intelligent real life answer to your problem...
Remember that white dot on the feedback SHOWS where the ball would have crossed the plate NOT where he made contact with it. The words TELL you where he made contact with it, right?
Stay with me here because this gets pretty mind blowing...
According to that feedback he was early with his swing. Now if O’Day was pitching like you said (a submariner I believe) the ball would be coming from the bottom of the strikezone and not over the top like normal. With an early swing technically he would be making contact with the ball lower than the white dot indicates since the pitch was coming from the bottom of the strikezone to begin with. The combination of a submariner and an early swing allowed him to make contact while it was still in a hittable location. Sucks yeah but makes sense doesn’t it...
Just trying to apply real life physics and analysis with the feedback/information given. Not defending this game or SDS.

That's where you're wrong in my opinion. Showdowns are not a problem, they work as intended. They provide a challenge with some low risk/high reward stuff. And I'll explain it again, that post was NOT to bash people who criticize showdown. It was to call out those who want everything nerfed to hell so they can have their own participation trophy and join the parade.
This is something completely different. I wonder how many people in this thread have actually got a clue how many far reaching effects this occurence has on the way we play this game:
Pitching is already hard enough as it is, where you'll throw meatballs on good releases. That's whatever, won't be fixed I assume so I accept that for what it is. But the whole idea of baseball from a pitcher's perspective is to read what opponent is looking for and what he struggles against. A good player in this game, which I am and have been for years, is able to read opponents in this matter relatively quickly. If you can then execute, whether it's hitting or pitching, you're most likely gonna win.
I read my opponent, I knew he was gonna swing at this and that's exactly what I wanted. I executed the pitch, that location if perfect. I don't care what anybody says about real life baseball or how high the strike zone is or whatever other argument you can come up with. That pitch is almost an extra quadrant higher than the top of the strike zone. It was a well executed pitch. And my opponent did what I expected and wanted him to do; he swung at it.And here comes the conclusion: I executed perfectly, both the location and the assumption he would swing, and he should be penalized for being outplayed/outsmarted by me in this "mini game within the game". For making him chase a horrible pitch. Instead he gets rewarded with a 2 run homer. THAT is the real issue here.
