I think it's all an indictment of the world we live in. Be it sports, politics, or day to day life, class, morals, values, and civility are just absent. As far as a salary cap goes I'm so tired of owners crying poverty then overpaying for players. I'm old, I've seen plenry of strikes and lockouts in all my sports.....millionaires fighting with billionaires but one thing they have in common are owners crying the blues and a year or two after a strike the stupid contracts start again. As a Met fan I know it all to well as I just celebrated Bobby Bonilla Day recently.

Unfortunately there isn't much room for change in this game and by now, those of us who have played for years, have settled in on our camera views and square up most things in the strike zone. So my theory is they've intentionally made the pitching this way.....will it be a ball 3 feet off the plate? Or will it paint the gray? You get 1 maybe 2 pitches in the box per at bat. As a result, due to pure boredom, is I find myself moving the PCI around more and swinging at [censored] I wouldn't normally swing at and I don't rake as much. These wild pitches and hit batters are a result of this eratibc pitch design.

Someone will probably answer this better. It's bunt for hit, bunt in a run, or a sac fly

I've got about 70 packs (Regular, Ballin, and Headliners). Would you open them before or after the new content today or after and why?

Beltran is my best. I have some that rate high that may surprise.

I recently posted an idiotic thread about pack odds and immediately made it inflammatory. I then went on to feed the very devolving a post like that will do. I have plenty of issues legit about this game and can even question the legitimacy of pack odds but overall its probably just a combination of total insane bad luck this year and the bizarre way the market turned early this year making packs feel unrewarding.

I let frustration get the better of me and ego drive it down hill. We all have legit complaints and all know some on the forum will fan the flames be it a loyal defender or blind hatred for the game and I don't want to be either of those. Overall the vast majority of peeps on this forum are good people with valid points, gripes, insight, and helpful tips and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Sorry to those I called out and for dragging that thread to the lowest level of social media.

No I don't want everyone to agree with me. There are plenty who do and plenty who don't. I personally believe pack odds are not accurate and it wouldn't shock me along with many others. We know for a fact difficulty levels are manipulated. Veteran in Conquest is not the same Veteran in vs CPU.

Early on you barely pulled gold uniforms, it was always silver, now I pull gold uniforms all the time. In a few months, like every year, diamonds will be more common in packs yet the odds don't change. Wow what statistical miracle.

Pretty funny how you said I lost you with Fanboy then use the cliche of come out of your mom's basement.

Fan boys never disappoint....I love the statistics comments as if they have an idea of how many people open how many packs each day and they KNOW THE NUMBERS....Sheep, God I hope you people don't vote if you base your life on what you're told rather than what you see.

Why don’t you answer his question? That is how discussion occurs. I know our society is gearing towards just shouting down your opponent, but your slapping him (of all people on here) as a fan boy is both misinformed and lazy.

Of course I don't expect 2 Ohtanis that's absurd but this year, since release, you can open 70 to 120 packs and barely make 6000 stubs. Back in the early stages of TA I was opening 50 to 100 every few days and you barely pull anything you can earn stubs with. As someone who has played diamond dynasty since its first year I don't recall it being this bad. People can agree or disagree. If I wrongly labeled someone a fan boy than I apologize, it gets frustrating with those ones I'm talking about that immediately attack people and defend even the most obvious flaws of the game.

58 Regular Packs 3 Golds. Pulled my first Chase pack 85 Glasnow

7 Ballin packs 10 golds

5 Headliner packs 3 Golds

1 Jumbo pack 3 Golds

17 of the 19 golds are only worth the quick sell value.

The SDS fan boys can break out the tin foil hat comments all they want, I've played this game long enough to know this year is ridiculous. It's designed more than ever to push stub sales to those foolish enough to buy them.

It's not so much lack of content as it is ease of content. The programs are completed in 2 hrs or less, Conquest Maps are super short, and once you've reached the All-Star vouchers in TA there isn't much reward up to the Finest vouchers.

I didn't do a single moment in the All-Star challenge. As soon as I finish the conquest map I'll have completed. I hate moments

Well for me TA is pretty much done. I will have all the finest vouchers by the end of next week and have zero desire to grind for the fan icon and the ridiculous numbers required to get it so I'm not sure what else to play for. Programs are short and seem to offer the same players over and over so I may be done with MLB the show sooner than usual

I know SDS had no control over the All-Star selections but its disappointing to see so many repeats in the TA All-Star players that have cards in so many other programs or already had a TA card. Might have been better if the team affinity All-Stars were players from past All-Star games.

Definitely interested cuz I put up nowhere near those numbers in a vs CPU game.

I use directional hitting and pitching. Been using Costco field ( but feel it’s been nerfed lately). I play on veteran all the time.

I agree with you about hitting being “unrewarding “ in 2025. All about keeping the “power creep” under control, IMO.

Play the Rockies in Colorado and make sure you face Dollander. I usually chase him by the 2nd inning and then feast on the Pen. That's my go to for Stat grinding for TA. I don't score 30 every game but it's easy to put up 18 to 30 runs and strike out 18 to 22 batters.

I can't speak for online but offline nothing has changed. Vs CPU I can still score 30 runs and put up 40 hits in 9 innings. In Conquest most games are 1-0 with 1 or 2 hits on the sane exact difficulty. EV, Launch Angle, and contact still don't mean much as Good/Good with 100+ EV and 30 degree launch angle are mostly easy flyouts to mid outfield but Just Early with 100 EV and a 13 degree launch angle leaves the yard. The game is just an RNG arcade game since release and has played the same since release.

Have you ever noticed that streamers rarely run into these issues? Have you noticed that most of the top players in this game are close to server cities with notoriously bad internet? If you truly analyze everything you see without worrying about wins and losses, these issues are blaring and very noticeable. I have no intention or never will be a top 50 player in this game. While everything you say is valid and accurate that covers the online aspect. The offline game has become bad arcade like rather than sim. In a real MLB game you won't see the following;

I don't care how good an arm a guy has nobody is catching a ball on the right center field warning track and gunning out a guy with decent speed tagging from 2nd to 3rd by 2 feet.

You won't see a ball hit for a line drive a few feet over the pitchers head with 108 EV and 9 degree launch angle stay in the air until it reaches the centerfielders glove in mid center field.

You won't see 6 to 8 amazing highlight reel diving and jumping catches in one game.

You won't see a wild pitch per game.

You won't see pitchers throw 3 to 5 pitches 2 feet off the plate but also dot the edges of the strike zone 3 to 5 times all in the same at bat, every at bat.

You won't see players blast fat pitches right at someone 95% of the time but then blast a HR on a just late swing at a ball across their belt buckle.

Add in that for some magic reason Rookie and Veteran, maybe all difficulties are different depending on what you play. If a I play Rookie on vs CPU I've put up 30 runs a game. Play Rookie on Conquest and 7 out 10 games end 1-0. I can still strike out 7 to 8 batters every game but you won't blast the ball around like vs CPU.

DDA or RNG, whatever we want to call exists in all games and I understand it's need in sports but all to often it replaces skill and knowledge of the sport in which we are playing. Sports games inevitably take the turn down the arcade road because you can't offer much change to a sim sport and developers end up losing any care for what hardcore sports guys want. They just try and keep the kiddos and the streamers happy while finding new ways to milk wallets.

Lol....some of the complaints about this game can be ridiculous but the show boys that constantly defend the indefensible (not saying this thread absolutely fits that category) are absolutely hysterically embarrassing. Face it fan boys, the game has major issues and has been in steady decline for about 4 years. It still has its appeal, and if you love baseball it still can deliver at times, but it's quest for the almighty dollar and lack of ways to build on the franchise has sent it into the all to familiar arcade style game nose dive. It was inevitable and it's ok, you'll meet someone else.....
