    Bring Back Instant Trades!
  • KennyK73_PSNK KennyK73_PSN

I actually don't mind it so far, it's more realistic. My only complaint would be to get actual real feedback on why the trade didn't go through from the other team, it's too vague right now. Maybe a better way to do this would be an interactive communication with the opposing team. Allow me to ask them about a specific players in the trade offer to understand if they even want them or if they are the reason why the trade is getting held up, etc. etc. etc.

If you want the "instant trade" kind of feel, you can always send out an offer, create a save point, sim ahead to get the feedback, reload the save and try again. Kinda lame and not in the spirit of the game, but if you want 50 trades to happen within a day, to each his own.

I also don't necessarily like the black-and-white untradable players idea. Everyone is tradeable for the right price. Maybe another example of when an interactive conversation with the opposing GM might prove useful. Let me talk them into it haha. I've been waiting for Trey Yesavage or Connelly Early to be available for 3 seasons but they're both on lockdown and at this point they haven't grown at all and my team is gonna be worse if I trade for them. Counter point though, who is realistically trading their $800k per year restricted star pitchers in real life? IDK, now I'm torn on this entire thing...

  • Franchise sim/watch bug after game
  • KennyK73_PSNK KennyK73_PSN

This appears to be fixed with the March 20th update. Thanks SDS!

  • [BUG] Random Generic Stretch Animation Triggering on Unique Pitcher Deliveries
  • KennyK73_PSNK KennyK73_PSN

There is a recurring visual bug where pitchers with unique, customized, or assigned stretch animations will randomly revert to a generic "placeholder" stretch animation. This occurs approximately 1 out of every 10–15 pitches thrown from the stretch. It is purely aesthetic and does not affect the pitch outcome (velocity/location), but it breaks the visual immersion, especially in simulation-heavy modes.

    Platform: PS5
Game Mode: Franchise (Sim/Watch Mode) & Standard Gameplay
Frequency: Intermittent (Approx. 8% of all stretch pitches)

    Steps to Reproduce:

    • Setup: Select a pitcher with a highly recognizable, unique stretch delivery (e.g., a pitcher with a high leg kick or distinct pause).
    • Context: Ensure there is a runner on base so the pitcher is forced to throw from the stretch.
    • Observation: Enter "Watch" mode in Franchise or play through several innings.
    • The Bug: Observe the deliveries. Every ~12 pitches, the pitcher will skip their unique "load" frames and instead perform a generic, stiff stretch animation that does not match their assigned motion.

    Actual Result:
The engine intermittently overrides the assigned unique pitching animation with a generic "Generic Stretch" asset.

    Expected Result:
The pitcher should consistently use their assigned unique animation for every pitch thrown from the stretch.

    Additional Notes:
This bug is most noticeable in the CPU vs. CPU "Watch" mode in Franchise. It appears the game engine is occasionally failing to "fetch" the specific animation file in time for the pitch sequence and defaults to a generic asset to prevent a game freeze.

  • [BUG] Custom Pitcher Camera Reverts to Default in "Watch Full Game" / Spectator Mode
  • KennyK73_PSNK KennyK73_PSN

In Franchise Mode, custom pitcher camera angles fail to apply when the user is in "Spectator" mode (Side Select set to NONE). While the custom camera works perfectly when a user is controlled, the game ignores these settings and forces the default "Ballpark" or "Pitcher Center" camera the moment the game is being watched as a simulation.

    Platform: PS5
Game Mode: Franchise Mode - Play Full Game
    Frequency: 10/10 (Happens every time)

    Steps to Reproduce:

    • Set Custom Camera: In the main menu or within a game, set the "Pitching View" to any Custom Slot (e.g., Custom 1) or a specific non-default angle.
    • Enter Franchise Game: Navigate to a game in your Franchise schedule and select "Play Full Game."
    • Verify Functionality (Controlled): Select your team on the "Side Select" screen. Enter the game and verify that the pitcher camera is using your custom setting.
    • Enter Spectator Mode: Pause the game, go to "Select Sides," and move your controller to the middle (NONE) to watch the CPU vs. CPU simulation.
    • Observe the Bug: Resume the game. Observe that the pitcher camera immediately reverts to the default stadium broadcast/pitcher angle, ignoring the "Custom" selection in the settings menu.

    Actual Result:
The camera reverts to the stadium’s default pitcher angle when no team is selected by the user.

    Expected Result:
The camera should remain on the user's selected "Pitching View" (Custom or Preset) regardless of whether a side is selected or if the game is being watched in spectator mode.

    Additional Notes:
This bug significantly impacts players who enjoy the "Broadcast Manager" style of Franchise play. The manual workaround of "controlling" a team just to see a specific angle is not viable for those who want to watch an unbiased CPU vs. CPU simulation of their team.

  • Franchise sim/watch bug after game
  • KennyK73_PSNK KennyK73_PSN

This is just a silly bug, if you "Play Full Game" but don't pick a side so you can sim/watch, after the game exit you're immediately taken to the Calendar and if you hit back to return to the main Franchise menu hub you'll actually be taken back to the main menu of the game. If you turn on autosave after a game then you don't lose anything and you simply go back into Franchise mode to continue playing, just annoying.

  • Created stadium - pitcher camera angles in sim/watch mode
  • KennyK73_PSNK KennyK73_PSN

This is specifically for Franchise when using a created stadium. When you "Play Full Game" but then don't select a side, the pitcher camera angle is auto forced into Pitcher Center. If you select a side to play with, all your custom camera angles will work. But most of the time I just sim entire seasons, and then watch important games and watch the playoffs with the Broadcast style turned on.

I know this is a simple thing that doesn't seem like a big deal, just watch the game with Pitcher Center and deal with it, but seriously it bothers me to the point where I'm actually creating a post to get help fixing it. I've tried everything I can think of but once you unselect a team (even mid game where the camera angles are already correct) the pitcher camera always gets forced back to the created stadiums default camera of Pitcher Center.

So, anyway around this? Or anyways to force a created stadium to be "Pitcher" or one of my custom camera angles by default instead of Pitcher Center?

If not, PLEASE FIX THIS IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!... Thanks!

  • Editable Quirks on players in 26
  • KennyK73_PSNK KennyK73_PSN

YES! Please add this feature. Right now I know 2 dumb ways to do this. 1, you can go to edit rosters from the main menu and SOME players you are allowed to export. Then you can import that player into a roster, edit them down to whatever you want, name, age, etc. and they'll maintain the quirks from the exported player. HOWEVER, in '26 that player will only carry over into Franchise mode if you don't do a fantasy draft. For some reason my created pitcher at 59 overall and either D or F potential (yes I know that's cheap to push him down the fantasy draft to ensure I get him late round haha) didn't show up in the fantasy draft at all, and now he's gone from that Franchise mode.

2, you just edit any player in franchise mode to change them. Problem is, their contract, 40 man status, and worst of all historical stats will follow. So you lose any realism with that, plus you lose the original player that you're editing.

This seems like a no-brainer, super easy update that show just simply be in the game. If anyone ever reads this, just add it into the game please because it's super frustrating that this isn't allowed.

I'll even give you a corporate option that still works for me, make franchise quirks purchasable on the DD Marketplace, kind of like Sponsorships. Promote the idea of micro transactions to get the quirks. I know that's annoying, but at this point I'll take it. And for that matter, include a HOF Quirk and Sponsorship selection item with pre-orders in the future PLEASE! I guarantee more people play Franchise or any other mode than DD. I get it, DD is a money maker and you hype up the Twitch and YouTuber's to push for money, but at some point these easy fixes need to take priority for the real people that play the game.
