@GodShammGod2_XBL I am of the opinion they've outsourced a lot of the game development to AI, zero QA testing, and a general inability to adapt as new things happen.

This development team must be a skeleton crew while they work on '27/mobile game. For a full priced video game, us consumers deserve so much better than what we're getting. Worst part is that there is no acknowledgment for any of the issues we've encountered, no accountability for the developers/engineers for how horrible the technical state of the game is, etc. If this was any other business in the real world, these guys would all be fired/replaced by now. The community is UNHAPPY to say the least.

There is zero reasons or excuses why the app and website are down and have been since 7am EST, and this happens with zero comment/acknowledgment at least twice a week. They took them down with the game update at 7am but they are STILL down. This is easily the worst technical state the game has been in in a very long time. Also worth mentioning the game has been out for three months at this point! No excuses. Horrible.

I imagine there are two things that developers/suits care about: player retention and sales.

The game has sold very well so that's one less thing to worry about, it always sells well. For mid-year sales (the micro transactions), I just cannot imagine people have been spending stubs to buy players right now when we know 99s are six weeks away. They are only going to get more aggressive with their mid-year strategies (stub sales for $, flash sales, FOMO) in order to try to get people to spend $. I can't imagine people are going to bite though.

As for player retention it obviously goes down as the year goes on, no shame in that. However with the introduction of the repeatable grindable mini seasons, I imagine their player retention has skyrocketed because of how easy it was to get packs from completing the WBC Mini Season. They care about how much people are playing their game, that looks good on reports. Average play time, amount of hours played, stuff like that.

UNTIL people A) stop buying the game at all or B) stop spending real money on diamond dynasty, we won't see any meaningful changes. Again they only care about sales and player retention.

I worry about what the ASG collection is going to cost.

This is a disastrous change for those of us who enjoyed investing in live series roster updates. The fact it was not communicated before launch, I am very disappointed in this decision.

Those of us who enjoyed buying and selling cards for the roster updates helped keep the in-game marketplace flowing for cards of all tiers. We constantly were placing orders that would be filled by users when they were opening packs. It's a shame that the limit is 20 CARDS! TWENTY! At least scale the limit by card tier!

I urge SDS to reconsider this.
