I've seen multiple posts over the last few years about this, but I still cant get it to work for me. I'm having issues with pinpoint pitching on a brand new Xbox Series X/S controller where my follow through consistently gets cutoff halfway down to the bottom circle. I cannot finish the pitch, leading to wild pitches almost every time. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know how players are matched in events? My ranked seasons rating is around 550 but when I match on events or BR it is pairing me with people with 1400+ ratings. Its basically unplayable because I am getting matched with people well beyond my current skill level. It seems like the law of averages would dictate that i would eventually draw an opponent at or below my skill level, but I've been drawing people that consistently put up 8+ runs while I am not good enough to consistently put up more than 3 or 4. I dont have this issue with ranked seasons, I think I'm 14-5 or thereabout. I just dont understand how my opponents can match with someone of my skill level but I cannot.
