I didn't play much of the end of MLB 21, so I don't know if this was ever implemented, but I am not liking the fact that the PCI can reach all the way out of the strike zone. Playing on All-Star, in Co-Op, me and my teammate could barely ever score any runs and we both were above CS last year for a good majority of the year. Maybe we just aren't good, but I feel like the majority of the balls we made contact with we were incredibly over or incredibly under.
With any ball that's thrown high in the zone, I jam my analog to that direction hoping it covers that quadrant of the zone. But now, instead it goes above, making me completely over it. With any ball that's thrown low in the zone, I jam it all the way down. But now when I do that, it goes completely under the zone and I am incredibly under.
I don't know about you guys, but I don't want to ever swing at a ball under the zone or above the zone. Maybe it's just me but I hate that now I have to completely overhaul the way I control my analog stick so that I am not over/under on everything.
What makes it even better is that when you are actually on balls that are almost buried in the dirt, you can get hits on them. If I don't find a way to adjust to this new PCI I might make that a strategy.
In short; (my opinion) please do not let the PCI go out of the strike zone completely. As long as the middle of the PCI can actually stay in the zone so I can actually be on pitches, I am fine with it. But the entire thing shouldn't range underneath or completely over.
