Why knock the HR/9 stat on flyballs for pitchers?
  • J JohnMcClaneTW

Some of the things that they dock points for are really dumb. As a batter, if you get a 3-0 count and decide you want to take a strike down the middle, you know, how a real life hitter might do, you get VIS- for some reason. You shouldn't be punished for taking a strike when you're ahead in the count like that, in my opinion.

Agree. RTTS should have some kind of option when you start to never get traded if you don't want to. Why should you be stopped from playing for your favorite team if that's what you want to do?

Yes the RTTS mode should be all about what the player wants not the CPU..Franchise should be anything goes because it's based to be more like real life..I love my Braves and I'm still with them but as we know u can be traded at anytime for other players worse than you..Now that really makes a lot of sense right?!!

Totally with you on all points made. Personally I play RTTS and just let myself get drafted by whoever - that's fun for me. But that's not fun for everyone. RTTS is like THE no pressure all-fun mode of this game. You're not competing with players online or anything like that and it's just fun to pretend you're a pro ballplayer. To relate to you, if you want to be the next Chipper Jones and spend your entire career with the Braves, then the devs should let you do that.

  • How do you actually play in a ballgame?

Um...You're a bench player. In the AL. They don't get a lot of reps.

But I'm a backup catcher on a team carrying two catchers. I should get starts once in a while. It's been only pinch hit appearances and then I get subbed out right away.

Chose catcher. Drafted by the Tigers.

To start the 2021 season, I made it to the majors as backup catcher and played a lot in the first half. After the All-Star break, I only ever got pinch hit appearances.

It's now May 2022, I'm still in MLB, and I've had 5 at-bats in the 2022 season. This mode is absolutely broken. So unrealistic.

Anyone else running into this problem...?
