Make sure you keep a good sinkerball pitcher in the rotation. I handle Shippett "bros" no problem with Lodolo and Whitley.

I have found dashboarding happens when the outcome of a pitch is unrealistic. I will just use Chipper for example, hes batting righty and takes a low and away pitch (out of the zone) for a no doubt HR. That should be an out, a single, a double into the gap if you are really lucky, and maybe a wall scraper HR if you are EXTREMELY lucky. Never would go for a no doubter.

It also causes lag, or so I have found, when you have runners on base. I use R2 so that everything "catches up" and it reduces the lag.

Statements like this are unbelievably moronic lmao. One is a sports game the other is a survival adventure game and aren’t in competition with each other.

Sure they arent haha. There is a large sum of people that are only playing this game due to COVID and lack of options. Player base will dwindle and the die hards will be left with the same doo doo game they have had for 2 months.

It looks to me like it was supposed to be an animation where an infielder lets a looper drop for a double play, but somehow they coded it for the OF instead of the IF.

Only children keep auto shift on. Turn auto shift off and control where your players are at all times like it's an actual strategy,

I dont want to have to adjust that often. I would turn it off, but I like not having to remember to set the infield at double play depth etc. Plus adjusting fielders nearly every AB is annoying to your opponent.

I almost never adjust itexcept for bunting. Autoshift hurts you more than it helps you. Just turn it off.

You dont miss out on Double Plays by having the infielders further back?

I use it when someone is quick pitching to cause lag when I have runners on base. Making them come set with runners on base reduces the amount of lack because it allows the graphics to "lock in" so to speak.

I have an ERA under 3 with his Silver card. I cant imagine this card would somehow be worse.

Stretch and toss. Only use warm up if you are going to bring him in during the same half inning that you got him going him up and throwing in the bullpen.

Yep. It got faster on all levels, they keep screwing with the pitch speed slider (among others) so the game plays differently day to day.

Change your input to PC on the TV. It will help it some, but its still pretty bad.

Its their servers. I only get lag (in mlb and milb stadiums) when I have a runner or runners on base. It plays fine until that. Its like they cant make it handle those 1 to 3 extra little men being on the field. Pathetic.

So basically the game has unusable selections for pitching and if you dont want to hang pitches you have to use analog. How brilliant of them to make one out of four ways of pitching work.

On a pop fly caught on the edge of the grass behind 2nd base. And then what happens? Didi (73 STR 79 ACC) LOBS a throw to the plate, which is accompanied by that catch it across your body and whip around too late to make the tag. Pathetic and disgusting what we have as a "baseball simulation".
