When I try to log in it shows me as banned on 23 from last year so I'm thinking they carry over.
Hey got an answer for you, Same thing happened to me last night as well. i was stuck in an endless loop and couldnt get on, was also banned last year. .. I emailed customer support last night about the situation and the emailed me back in 20 minutes saying they refreshed my account and I was good to go!

I contacted sds and they said they removed my ban but I can't load into the game and I get stuck in title screen and go any further. The ban ticker doesn't appear anymore though so they did something with that I suppose but I can't play the game and I spent $100 on it.
reply to the email you got and tell them you're stuck on a screen. At 12pm yesterday they said I was unbanned but I kept getting stuck. After a few back and forth emails at 3pm they told me I was actually unbanned and everything worked again.
