If the better player has a team of 97’s - He will beat the guy with 99’s. This isn’t Madden.

This post isn’t a bash on gameplay, servers, ect…I’ve played DD for a few years. Before then I just played online rated with regular teams casually. In a given day I’d play a game of The Show then some Halo, Battlefront, COD and then after a couple hours I’d be done playing for the day. Then came DD…It has become a giant timesuck that’s addictive & time requirement nature makes you play less of other games and focus mainly on DD and nothing else. I’ve realized instead of playing a couple hours a night, I’m playing massive amounts to try to get everything done. Blowing off other things I could be doing in real life so that I can dedicate more of my time to DD…I thought that once I made WS it would get better & more chill - And it did for awhile & then when 22 dropped I became obsessed again. This isn’t healthy, At least not for me, I think after this year I’m going to go back to playing online rated - For my own mental health’s sake…How do the rest of you feel? No judgement here, Just looking for honest opinions. Do you regret getting into DD?

In the fine print it says that when playing ranked & conquest you can only use in season cards…See I don’t like being told what cards I can & cannot use. This is why I never played events. I’ve got a real bad feeling about this.

Several years ago the WS reward was Chipper Jones & man did I want that card BAD. Problem was - At that time I wasn’t yet a WS caliber player & there was no reward path. Only way for me to get him was to put in a buy now order for a million stubs & wait in line. By the time I earned a million stubs & put in the buy order, There was no way I was going to get one before the year ended. 4 months I waited & my order never got filled before the next show dropped….So please believe me when I say that being able to earn a no sell version is a HUGE WIN. If there’s a card you want, You can earn it nomatter your skill level…Now, As far as the outrage that it’s not fair that players that can make WS or go 12-0 get a sellable version - It’s absolutely fair…It’s hard to go 12-0, It’s hard to make WS. Doing so SHOULD earn you something extra. This is fair for all parties.

There is definitely something different with Conquest. When I play on rookie in Conquest I rarely put up more than 3 or 4 runs whereas if I play on rookie in play vs the cpu I put up 30-40 per game.

Finished just now. Wanted to share my strategy for anyone who’s struggling…I loaded up with bunters & speed. Then just drag bunt every at bat & steal 2nd & 3rd when they’re open. This works against ALL difficulties. The cpu never adapts. Yes it’s boring & monotonous but it’s effective & you’ll never lose. Hope this helps anyone struggling.

It’s certainly not the worst gameplay wise but the doubling down on Seasons is what makes it the absolute worst experience in the franchise’s history. As I’ve said on here before - I used to play the show year round. Last year I bailed when season 3 dropped, This year I’ll finish out season 1 and then I’ll be bailing when NCAA football drops. I’m not going to keep chasing a carrot especially when I can only use the carrot for a week or two before it’s taken away again lol…I’d be fine with them going back to grinding for immortals or even the way it was from 18-22. It really sucks because this used to be the only game I would play year round.

He is. I'm just fed up with guys like him who want to push the positives only thing. This game has flaws, why can't we address them? If he likes it, good for him.

I did not buy the game that's right. If you'd have been around you would've known my arguments and reasons, but there's a handful of clowns around here that completely invalidate my input because I stopped giving SDS my money for a yet another copy/paste job, despite me playing the tech test, having played the game at friends, staying informed, and having played this game for a decade.

I mean.. you can’t really provide accurate input without owning the game… and if you don’t own the game why are you even here? Do something else with your time man

Honestly dude don’t even waste your time on RaesOne. I blocked him, Didn’t want to listen to his constant negativity directed towards a game he doesn’t even play. Creepiest stuff ever…Anyone that would stalk a game forum for a game he doesn’t even play has to be a total psychopath. This will be mentioned on his Netflix documentary no doubt lol. I also like how I clearly stated that there are tons of other threads for negativity & just asked for this ONE THREAD to be positive & he just couldn’t help himself. Absolute psychopath.

Shoot…you can barely even see them now. If you skip the opening and/or blink or take a sip of coffee or look at your phone for two seconds…you don’t even see the record.

The more important part of this post is the issue of why people CARE sooooo much about their record. It’s kind of embarrassing.

I’ll often get messages and comments about my record…because it looks bad. But I played all the goons in early access…and routinely play with watered-down lineups.

It’s funny when I get messages about my record…and then my opponent rage quits after 4 innings while losing. They always message me their excuse too.

It couldn’t possibly be that my terrible record against good players with lesser lineups has made me better than their good record with nothing but 99s against bums…

I looked you up, .180ish hitter with a record of 66-136 as of last night… I guess I understand now why you don’t want input to matter more.

Was this necessary? Shaming him for his record & stats is a [censored] move…Especially when he wasn’t attacking anyone, Just giving his take…Be better man, It’s really not that hard to be descent to people.

It’s truly mind boggling that they came out & said they’d rather have a broken online experience than to temporarily remove 2 way players from playing online. Nobody to blame but themselves for the HUGE drop in players.

Many players circle swing in real life. Jeff McNeil does it all the time.

Does he stream himself hitting the circle button?

In real life a batter with 2 strikes that isn’t just swinging for the fences would use circle.

No they would choke up and shorten their swing. Seems a lot harder than switching the button they press to just foul off every pitch every where. But please keep correlating hitting a different button to top level baseball players.

Circle is the video game version of choking up.

THIS…This is exactly what a contact swing is. I personally use it when I have a runner on 3rd, 2 strikes & less than 2 outs and just need to put the ball in play for the run to score. This is baseball 101.

You don’t need power to hit one in the gap or down the line. This seems like an odd thing to post about.

I love sleeping in on a Saturday morning after the work week. Getting up and enjoying a nice breakfast and then taking my coffee back to my man cave and getting my grind on for the new programs. I just really enjoy relaxing & running through all the different stages of the grind - Moments, Showdown, Conquest & then finishing up getting the needed stats in a max elevation stadium vs the cpu. I know alot of people don’t like the grind but to me it’s a great & chill way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Yep…There’s nothing like playing someone who’s pitching with a side arm’ing cap at a max elevation, short fence stadium…People like this are why I cheer for the asteroid in disaster movies.

I think not seeing “[censored] Butts” every game has been wonderful.

I understand preferring to play offline. While I prefer online play, I TOTALLY understand why some people prefer offline play - No stress, No dealing with exploit players, ect…I get it…But when it comes to something like a program that just requires you to get a hit in BR or play a couple innings in H2H, What’s the big deal? You’re not being asked to make WS or go 12-0. It’s just a couple little things. Just get in & do what you gotta do then go back to offline. And yes, I understand “They said play how you want”. But cmon, Is it really that much to ask to get one hit in a BR game? I don’t get the outrage.
