Im in the same boat, i have no motivation to play this game. They release cards that aren't very good at all, i cant stand the pitching, and theyre just trying to be greedy during a pandemic where most people arent working. But they dont care lol Im switching from cod, rdr2, and this game being the least that i play. Last year i was tanked in on waiting for whats coming next, but this year nah, im very bored.

I don’t understand why they make these player programs so annoying for players that ill never use in my life. Im here for the little stars and then i leave the game. Lol

@raesONE said in If your going to tweak sliders in Showdown:
Kinda defeats the purpose of the whole game mode if you don't have to draft players. I also feel like the game works fine offline, just drafted some hitters and jumped straight into NL stage 2 boss against Nick Lodolo down 0-15 and I beat it with 4 outs left. Works fine.
Okay but not everyone can do that. And they never should have created a new draft mode, thats what BR is for. I havent even used my own team besides conquest and online. Which i barely ply because theres nothing else to do. What am i even playing DD for if i barely use my own team?

@JaksDaddy758 said in 3rd inning showdown is garbage:
I’ve only attempted it once so far. I did complete The first few “rookie” challenges just barely with some 2 out magic that I didn’t expect. That being said it did not feel like rookie difficulty at all.
Rookie difficulty in any other mode typically means a high strike percentage thrown. I was getting garbage the entire time. Then when I would square balls up they were mostly resulting in outs.
Then I get to Sutter and couldn’t even get anyone on base until 2 or 3 outs left even though I had several perfect and squared up results.
I honestly like the set up of showdowns a lot, I just wish they weren’t so inconsistent with the rest of the game. If it’s rookie or veteran difficulty then it should play like it. Or at least change what they call the difficulty to reflect how it actually plays.
I like the set up as well. Theres nothing i hate more tho than the fact of playing with drafted players. I haven't used my team at all other than conquest. What am i even playing for honestly? What do i care about the cards or inning programs if i barely use my own team?

Bullpen Blast on Candystand.com had better pitching mechanics than this game. I don't disagree with someone wanting to leave already. Its obvious how careless they are. Half of them probably adjust sliders in the modes so they can feel better about themselves.

What uncreative weirdo came up with these atrocious moments?.. All these XBH with silver players. After Sutter you mine as well just skip and pray in the final showdown and hope you get Medina.

@InigoMontoya_75 said in Showdown sucks:
I love the idea of Showdown, but I just get too stressed and angry while playing. I somehow won my first go at the AL East Showdown and have lost about 4 or 5 in a row now. I wish they had two levels of difficulty, with an easier version that gave about half the rewards.
Should be with our own DD team.

I Luckily pulled trout, but theres no way im paying the prices of bellinger and cole. Only way im completely collections this year is if i pull them. This market so expensive compared to last year.

This is so true
Most of these things can be finished in one day. Even the UsA conquest can be done with some coffee. Ive completed it 7 times. If they had some kind of like offline RS thatd be kind of cool. Im also just tired of modes that don't let me use my own team. What else am i playing for?
A couple of things.

Content is planned out months in advance and safe to assume that when the planned out this year they did not plan for a global pandemic where 65% of their player base is playing 12-15 hours a day and completing 3 months worth of content in 5 weeks.
-
They are likely in a planning/creation stage on how to make content last longer a prime example of this is the Robinsons and Didi player programs as they are much more expanded then prior programs. Towards mid May and into June we will see more content and things to help move TAs along as well as more player programs as well the Players Tournment will produce content for sure.
Totally understandable. Its a chaotic year. But this has always been a thing to add more offline options. I like the potm programs. It was a good idea. But this thought topic is before all the chaos, everything can be done in one day, pandemic or not. Theyre doing great adapting to the chaos though. Ill givem that

Can someone plz explain what this Retro Mode is about im close to Prestige mode and i been hearing this last few days and need XP to get there. Can anyone fill me in???
What’re you even talking about man? Retro mode is offline, gives 0 XP towards the reward path. The only way to get xp is to play the game. Try showdowns
Is that true for only certain offline modes? I know rtts and hr derby give you xp.

@DeckerCurtis2002 said in Prestige Power Up is great, one suggestion:
This may not get much love from the offline people, but I really think online players deserve to be able to get cards that playing offline can't gain you. It's not that playing offline isn't good enough, but its that if you let players prestige cards by offline missions, there's going to be people grinding for hours tallying hits, hrs, innings etc and have the players prestiged the night they come out, when the whole purpose is to have played for the base version for a long time, to be rewarded with a prestige version for all the time spent. I hope its clear that I'm not attacking offline players, but I'm just explaining that SDS put prestige players behind a online wall because they want you to have to play with the player for a long time to attain the prestige version.
I dont disagree with that. But that does already tie in with RS and BR and Events. But to me the rewards arent worth the online struggle. There needs to be some kind of mode or something that takes time over the course of the game to complete that everyone can do. Not something that can be done in one day.

Im not bad at showdown, but im completely bored with this being the only option. Its very repetitive and Mto is even worse because of how long it takes. Not to mention, theres gonna even more stages for the TA. Hopefully they come out with a new mini mode or atleast additional moments or something. Even with most of us being home most of the day it still comes off as a drag. Just my opinion
-
The rookie. I cant imagine the feeling getting that first call to run out that bullpen
-
Yeah i agree. I don't care at all about these getting prestiges just because everything is online. Too much to handle and i can imagine the emotional rollercoaster i would have to face trying to do each one online. Im a decent player but I really just play online usually just for the inning stats and thats it.
-
Prices arent going down until better cards come put. The biggest issue is theres obviously no season so these prices stay where they are until something better comes along. Enjoy it for now, itll be like this imo until probably the 6-7th inning program
-
The only thing i got from this video was make sure to hit every pitch for a homerun.
