It’s exactly why this game shouldn’t be putting out 99s to begin the year. Kills the game cycle. Now you have a team that probably won’t change much in the next 11 months.

Everything isn’t meant to be completed get the guys you want and have fun.

Maybe this isn’t a issue with the actual game, maybe it’s a issue with the split second reactions between two playstations and multiple internet providers.. if I have Verizon and a PS4 and I’m playing someone with Comcast and on a PS4 pro.. the timing could be thrown off by milliseconds and mess up the true user input.

And with the amount of people online and screwing up latency/bandwidth issues through the lockdown maybe made it worst.

Offline plays great despite some good okays (which I’m fine with, if I got a hit every time I was good/okay I would be batting .600 or something and that’s not realistic, something you guys keep asking for but when you hit .250 you cry like a baby) The game Isn’t meant to change between online and offline.

I am not at all making excuses, I am just showing it’s not just an easy fix that y’all all think it is.

Go ahead and hang me now.. I’ll be waiting for the hateful responses . Especially during a time we are in, video games are just a escape from reality. You all have to realize that. It’s just a game.

Something I had to come to grips with because I was addicted to it and was beyond frustrated. Now I play just to use cards and don’t really care about outcomes, just something to do in my free time and have fun with time to time, as it’s meant to be in the first place.

Why all the hate towards quick pitching? Didn’t know y’all like playing a 2 hour game that should take 30 minutes. Slow pitchers are the worst.

Between the online pausers, the bunters who exploit fielding, the slow pitching and a terrible hitting engine that rewards jammed over good contact? This is by far the worst year for this game. At least 18 was bearable and last year was a tiny step forward but this is absolute garbage. And yes I suck at the game and need to get gud, I already know.

It's just pretend. Imagine complaining over some fantasy cards in a pretend baseball game. We should just be grateful they allowed us the opportunity to buy their product before the apocalypse. Everything else is just gravy at this point.

Imagine being on the internet complaining about people complaining. Lol.

And not getting rewarded for it either! Should be a medal or something shiny at least.

Thankfully, I can regale my loving family with heroic stories of how I acted to defend a multi-million dollar company from the complaints of their paying customers. Huzzah!

Stage 1 would have been better if it were future stars and Stage 2 was face of the franchise. Who wants to play with people we have no idea about with stage 3 opening up in months (early fall) at earliest.

Take for example the Yankees. Give us that pitcher Schmidt in Stage 1 with a 88/89 card and Torres be the Face of the Franchise and give him a 91 or something.

Feels backwards.

And with the event why are face of the franchise players included?!?! It’s a futures event.. I don’t think Yadier Molina is considered a future star.

I think it should have been strictly prospect cards and any silvers and below. But that makes too much sense.

Zone is dominant when the game isn’t broke hence why no half decent player likes the game since MLB 16/17. RNG fest, directional or not.

But I get what you’re saying. Crazy to know you made WS on directional. What kind of batting average did you have? .250ish?

Shoulda toasted him if that’s the case. Sit your PCI there and make him rage quit.

Comparing contact hitters to 18 is such an exaggeration. Just because they aren’t the best option doesn’t mean they’re useless.

I don't think contact hitters are useless in 20; Iove having Xavier Edwards at the top of my lineup. But power is so OP that people are choosing not to use them. I mean, why would you want a singles and doubles guy when you can just put in another power hitter with an OPS over 1.00?

Honestly, I should probably sub out Edwards for a guy with more pop but I actually enjoy hitting over .300 with a guy with 95+ speed. I like playing with him, even if it's unfortunately not the best strategy this year.

Xavier Edwards has a .300 average 40 SB and 3 homers in 400 at bats. He’s a monster!! Best contact guy in game and they do matter but the HR are way too frequent.

This game is the absolute worst piece of garbage ever since patch is 1.04. Between the outfielders not locking in on easy fly balls and the ground rule double bug where the outfielder won’t react (MLB 19 glitch) along with foul balls being ruled doubles (clip on my Twitter) along with the insane amount of good/okay when the ball is in the middle of the PCI. From being a very skilled based game on hitting (where the more consistent hitter wins) along with fielding (no one gave it a chance and cried so now we have suction animations taking away hits). Fielding was beautiful at launch you just had to take a lot of time to get used to it and practice. Hence I mean Baez is on the cover. I could deal with the button accuracy glitch if it meant we went back to day 1.

The better player does not win. If SDS wanted to make this a true skill game why wasn’t “perfect pitching” introduced at launch? This is just a randomized RNG fest.

Contact hitters don’t matter. It’s all about power. Fluke homers. MLB 18 all over again in regards to hitting engine.

The tell tale sign I have to quit playing is when my girlfriend just said to me what happened? You were the happiest you’ve been in a long time when this game came out but now all you do is get pissed. So for my mental health I gotta take a break. And pray for SDS to do something.

he’s sick if you can work both fastballs and change up effectively.
