Yeah, one person somewhere along the line should have been like "Uh, is this really the year that we want EVERYONE (including every xbox person that hasn't had a good baseball game in a decade) to be forced to connect to the servers that we've only ever need for one mode on one console?"

Game Pass isn’t free. It’s a $15 a month subscription and games don’t stay there permanently, they constantly come and go. So if it’s a game you will play off and on all year you end up buying it anyway. Now granted most sports games like Madden and NBA 2K won’t show up on Game Pass for a few months after release. I see Game Pass access on day one a way to promote new titles. Like the new game Outsiders was on game pass day one and had cross play as well. They even had the same server load issues too, go figure.

My point is that most Xbox users have it, so essentially, AT LAUNCH, everyone that had game pass got this game for free, and they should have just delivered an updated version of last year's game, and save all of these reinvention experiments for next year when they have more experience dealing with different hardware and servers for the first time ever.

Yep. This was a bug in last years game also, which is why I stayed at SS this year and refuse to play 2nd.

I remember opening multiple tickets last year. Good to see they got read.

I seem to remember this from last year, but I could be misremembering.

I still can't get my Gold El Abusador to level. Every time I try to use it, it levels sparkplug. Even in a new RTTS.

I agree it’s a silly system. I created a franchise with a created player to mimic my RTTS player. Then I play it in player lock mode with my created player with the franchise all on automatic. At least this gives me a true offline mode to play when servers suck.

I didn't even know this was possible.

RTTS should not require a constant online connection.

It should be the "offline" or "campaign" mode. This would not only give us something to do while these terrible servers are down, but it would also HELP THE SERVERS by removing connections that shouldn't be required in the first place.

I'm playing the cpu. Why do I need to be connected to the servers?

This is freaking ridiculous already.

There used to be a way to have the normal default appearance, but that was in the old equipment system and I get the feeling they forgot to include it this year

Between releasing 4 different versions of the game (when SDS normally only releases one), plus covid, stadium creator, the game being free for xbox people, and a massive influx of more players (from now four different consoles, and two massive communities (PS & XB), not to mention adding cross play, cross progression and cross generation, I firmly believe that this was the worst year that they could have imagined trying to change so much of the game at once.

Now, RTTS is online only, so no progression when offline, which means that all players, even "off line" "campaign" or "career" mode must be connected to the servers at all times.

This was absolutely the worst decision I've seen a game company make.

In a year where xbox people should finally have an amazing baseball experience, everyone's experience sucks simply because SDS put way too much on it's plate, and (IMO) made some very strange choices.

Perhaps it would have been better to just put out the 4 versions of the game (PS4 & 5, + XB! and XBX ) add in stadium creator, and just focus on server and DD issues at launch. They could have had a full year to impliment the changes they wanted to for RTTS and Ballplayer, and leave RTTS the way it was for this year and work out the Ballplayer [crud] next season.

Just got my gold El Abusador card and all progress stopped tracking and the game is still trying to track my "speedy slugger" program instead.

These progression bugs are driving me nuts

Has anyone figured out how to turn on the stance socks by default? I see my teammates wearing them, and I want them, but the equipment card socks all look absolutely ridiculous so I refuse to wear them.

Has anyone figured out how to turn on the default stance socks for whatever team you're on ?

So, I just got my gold (El Abusador) archetype card, and when I equipped it, all progress for that program stops.

In fact, post game, it's still crediting me "Speedy Slugger" TPA stats, but none of them advance my current archetype, and none of my progression is tracking.

I tried the old DD fix, (one at bat with my ballplayer and tried a DD moment also), and it didn't work. Anyone figure out a new work around since they supposedly "fixed" this progression bug?

Yep. Same. All of my programs in RTTS are bugged and wont advance. I'm getting xp, but none of my activity tasks are updating. I have a bunch of extra base hits and my slugger is stuck at 2, and the repeatable "24 plate appearances" is stuck at 0.
