Lofton & Jackie bat 1 & 2 for me. If you don’t show me respect by moving your 2nd & 3rd basemen to “in” then I’m going to bunt on you. If you switch to a bunt defense then I will swing away, I NEVER try to bunt if someone respects the bunt.
Any tips for better bunting with players like Lofton, Jackie, Buxton, etc?
If the 3rd baseman is back just wait until the pitcher releases the ball & drag bunt. However alot of people still have the default shift on so the 3rd baseman is usually in on guys with high bunt ratings…In that case aim your left thumbstick to the right & then press the bunt button once the pitch leaves the pitcher’s hand. If it works it’ll go to the right of the mound but the 2nd baseman won’t get to it in time & your runner will beat it out. This works about 50% of the time. The other 50% will pop up to the catcher or pitcher or the pitcher will get a good animation & be able to field it.
AKA cheese the laser bunt to 2b thats unrealistic AF and actually works 80% of time unless you custom shift your 2b to bunt defense. IRL the pitcher picks that up and walks over to the batter to tag him out 30 ft down the line
Did you ever watch Kenny Lofton play in real life? Did you know he once had 50 bunt singles in a single season?
Yea and how many were lasers at the 2b 120ft away from home? Thanks for proving the point
