I was literally thinking the same thing. I was 950 and dropped into the 800s and I haven’t been able to score more than 3 runs in 3 games. And my pci placement is fine but the ball is just dying. Maybe it’s RNG geared towards players making a last minute WS push because I seem to be at a disadvantage more specifically against those type of opponents

He’s dominate on legend. Hall of Fame and lower he’s very hittable.
I mean this far into the game’s life cycle and people still choose mlb parks online with the lag and FPS drop, then have the audacity to complain that the game is broken with hitting.
That is all.
Do not waste your stubs on Torre or any of the 4th inning program players. They will still drop about 50k more stubs when more people unlock them and reach 300 stars.
You’re throwing away and burning stubs if you buy one of them now. It’s a guaranteed loss.
@Jeviduty said in Why is Glavine's Top Card Only a 96:
Felix in his 20s > Glavine in his 20s
You can not base anything from 90s pitchers and modern day pitchers stats.
The pitchers in the mid 90s to the early 2000s are the best pitchers of all time because of the steroid era. Those that dominated then would absolutely obliterate competition today.
Guys like DeGrom, Scherzer, Kershaw would do just as good in the 90s. But, take Maddux, Glavine, Kevin Brown, hell even Mike Mussina, and they would put up Cy Young numbers year in and year out today. Forget about Pedro today, he may get to 400 strikeouts in a season if he pitched today.
@Jholla31 said in Played my first Legend game after making WS:
Okay, so my real thoughts are here.
I got my life dotted away by Hal. I'm talking at least five strikeouts looking because of absolutely perfect pitches on the paint.
Pitch speeds seem fine at least, even against Hal, but I'll definitely need to get used to the smaller PCI. I seemed to either time it right and be way under the ball or I was placing the PCI perfectly but was way too late. I only had 3 hits, and only one extra base hit which was a double.
Recognizing pitches out of the hand was difficult. I almost had to adjust after the pitch. But I've never hit Hal well even in lower difficulties, so maybe it's just him.
Cole Hamels doesn't seem like he's gonna cut it on Legend. I think his pitch speed differentials are almost too big, which makes pitches easier to pick up on.
I ended up getting mercied after 7 innings.
My only saving grace is that I actually matched up with a top 20 player on the lifetime boards, Tulowry, so I don't feel that bad about losing. Just gotta grind and git gud!
Hamels properly utilized is a monster on Legend. I have a 2.35 ERA with him through 10 games over 900
I thought it was a player program today, not a headliner
I find him very easy to hit even on hall of fame and legend. Not worth what it cost to acquire him at all. Greinke utilized properly is tough to hit, but used incorrectly he can give up a lot of HRs
Now Sixto Sanchez is the real deal though.

@buttmuncher150 said in New 90+ live series prices.:
So judge went up to a 90 but he is still only 16K.
Do the diamonds that get upgraded to 90+ also go to about 100k or do they not go for as much.
Also. That will mean he is harder to pull?
If he is going to go up. Isn’t that a great investment?
No probably not because of the quantity available to the market.
85-89 is much more common than 90-95 LS pulls.
As a player reaches 90+ live series, his availability will slowly drop but the price will not steadily rise due to the lifespan of the game and the release of much better cards, and the desire for Mantle dwindles.

As title says looking for reviews on Luis Robert. My OF is pretty stacked at the moment with Blackmon, Ellsbury (trying to prestige), and prestige Bellinger. But, that power/speed/arm combo of Robert is appealing. Is he worth it?? Any reviews/input is appreciated.
I don’t have him but have faced him twice today, both times vs my lefties on hall of fame.
He hits the ball hard and he scared the s**t outta me whenever he came up. Seemed both times he was the only consistent hitter on each of my opponents respective teams so there’s that.

Hornsby would be my 3rd basemen if I had that liberty to choose. That would be one of those tough nut cuttin moments where I’d have to find somewhere for Didi.
Who do you have at short? I still have yet to replace Didi even with all the cards that have come out. My lowest overall player but arguably my best hitter.
I have Rollins at short
How are you hitting with him? He has enough pop for you?

Thinking of selling hrd cano, fotf Dawson and the new gagne for him, yay or nay?
I pulled him and first ranked season game was on all star. My opponent also had him. I gave up 3 runs in the first. He gave up 2 runs in the first. He disconnected. Nolan's control is bad and he has 2 fast pitches and 2 offspeed. All you have to do is sit fb and react to offspeed. Lots of walks and pitches that float down the middle. He might be better on hall of fame but a good player will destroy him.
As a regular WS level player, that’s a lot easier said than done.
IMO he is worth it.
I took Ryan and bought Hornsby. I got Sheffield in left now, Hornsby at 3rd and my 89 CAP at 2nd since my 89 CAP catcher was replaced by Posada.
No worries about Sheffield though in left because of his arm and speed and Prestige Mantle in center to offset.
I just have the hall of fame games left. Haven’t used anyone yet that I’ve unlocked. But gonna knock out the hall of fame games tomorrow morning.
He’s dominate on legend. Hall of Fame and lower he’s very hittable.

It's not the stadiums alone. The opponent using potato internet is a bigger issue. Daytime events play like [censored] sometimes because of internet usage z especially during this pandemic.
I played an away game at ShitPit this morning. Worst lag I've had all year. Sure as ship wasn't the ballpark causing the performance issue.
That’s true too. But internet is something people have less control over.
I'm not choosing ShitPit because you don't have my areas internet. Once again, it's not the stadium.
BTW, 8 out of 10 games in MLB parks? I see 12 out 10 at ShitPit.
Guy hits 7 Solo HR at ShitPit. "Wow, I'm good".
Guy gives up 7 at ShitPit. "whatever, it's because we're playing at ShitPit. I'll score 8 next inning".
You don’t have to play at “ShitPit”. I have World Series runs at Green Mountain because it’s a very fair park without the fluke hits and home runs.
I agree you can’t have your cake and eat it too. But it’s definitely the stadium, and if it’s not just the stadium, it’s a very large factor. Internet is not an issue here in NYC and for the most park, SDS does a good job matchmaking you with other N.Y. players for example
