Sacrifice a live chicken and pray that you don’t get on the bad end of good/okays and your opponent hitting jam shot singles.

SDS clearly can’t figure it out. Kemp was never better in his career than trout is now but he’s rated higher lmaoooooo
Makes sense why the game doesn’t work
THANK YOU. Every year this kinda stuff drives me insane. Especially when you don’t have money to spend on the game and have to grind for LS cards.
Last year there was about 100 players who were never as good as Trout is right now, but had better cards than his Live Series. And now this year every average minor league player apparently deserves a card as good as Trout. Makes no sense.
It does when you hold Trout to a three year weighted average in a rating system that uses players from different eras that did things like hit over .400 for a season and hit 60 HRs.
The nature of these Ultimate Team modes is to keep you playing and microtansactions. LS cards aren't meant to be end game cards.
I will say this though, with all the active quirks he has he doesn't play like a 95. We all know he's good for either a Prime, Award, or SS card that will be a 99 and be in the discussion for best card in the game.
Trout, Griffey, and Mays 99 cards will be right there with Mantle as the best overall 5 tool cards.
Agreed, but Pujols’ 1B card will be on par with those cards. Plus he won’t be in a crowded outfield haha! The 99 Pujols cards have always been in my top 3 every year vs all other cards because I love his swing in the game.
It also helps that I was born in STL and grew up a cards fan.
Also, don’t forget honus Wagner. He will be up there too.
Nasty. His delivery is easy to time up for pitching too since smooth and quick. 101mph sinkers are nice too.

Decided to jump in some ranked today and 2 games in a row I play the most salty, toxic and miserable people in the community it seems.
Yes, I declined your friendly quit offer. You're looking for a game to play, so play. Both these guys made it their mission to make my life miserable for declining the friendly quit. Taking minutes to wind up between pitches, pausing for a minute and a half every inning, stepping off, throwing over to first base 5 times in a row while I don't even take a lead. I don't know if these shenanigans ever work out for anyone, but if anything it only gets me juiced up to absolutely obliterate you. I honestly don't understand why people are so toxic, salty and miserable. Just play the darn game man. Such a turn off to play like this every single game.
i totally agree, BUT, when someone offers a FQ before a pitch is thrown, just take it or else this is what you end up. whats so hard about looking for a new game? it takes 41 seconds.
Nah. I don’t like giving players an easy out. I’m guessing. 99 percent of the time they’re offering an FQ because they’re scared to get smacked. Most of the time they’ll quit out after a few bombs or runs in the early innings.
I don’t ask for friendlies, so why should I accept them?
Not many I can think of. I don’t use highly rated cards with low power, but I’d guess cards like Gwynn would be disappointing if I did.
Just no. I want feedback so I know I’m placing the pci properly. It’s not our fault if the game developers can’t come up with a functioning feedback system. Why should we let them off that easy for their flaws?
LOUD NOISES
Moncada, Olson, cargo, chipper, mantle, griffey, pujols, Bell

My point of view: act like you’ve hit a home run before lol. I don’t like waiting around to keep playing. I don’t watch any of mine because I want to try and finish games as quickly as possible.
I understand that point of view but let me offer another one.
I drink coffee while I play DD. If I hit a home run, I’ve earned the extra 10 seconds to sip my coffee and relax while enjoying my work.
And if I give up a home run and you replay it back? I get an extra 10 seconds to throw my controller through the wall in anger and still have time to plug in a new unbroken one
New perspective , but I try to maximize the time I do have on playing as many games as possible. People who hold R2, take forever between pitches, and watch their home runs waste my time. It’s not an annoyance of “showing me up” haha.
It sucks that I haven’t played the game through the complete cycle since 17. Quit 18 really early, quit 19 around September, and not sure if I’ll make it all the way this year. I just wish we had this content with the hitter/pitcher gameplay of 16. The good/okay, good/good, and now good/popped has become really annoying.
Yes, it’s called making sure you don’t follow the same pitching patterns, or don’t get the tight [censored] and throw offspeed pitches way off the plate. Usually those 2 things cause players to lose late since players focus on tendencies more late.
My point of view: act like you’ve hit a home run before lol. I don’t like waiting around to keep playing. I don’t watch any of mine because I want to try and finish games as quickly as possible.
I’m in the boat where I almost never accept friendlies, and I never ask for them. Ultimately, I want to play whoever I match up with. I enjoy playing better players because it’s a more enjoyable experience. With that being said, I’m not going to let a lesser player off when they ask for a friendly. If they want to dashboard after the first home run or quit out, that’s their decision.

For me the must have FotFs:
Best bat: Olson
Best overall: Moncada/Olson/Torres depending on team needsOther notable must haves: Tatis, Gallo, snell, Correa
Best FS card: Gorman, and it isn’t even close.
Since I already have Albies and Torres, 2nd and SS are covered. That's why I was looking at Seager for 3rd. I know the other two, and Tatis, can be plugged into 3rd, but I'd like an actual 3rd baseman there (and as I type this, I realize that I'm two XBH with 3rd basemen away from BO Matthews). But if I go with a FOTF squad, then I need Seager or Moncada.
Probably will go with which ever of rhe above two has the most useful FA player. (Although I like to looks of that Trammell from SD).
Moncada DESTROYS Seager and Albies. He’s so much better. Must get.

@D_e_m_I_s_E said in This Patch is Bad. Here’s why.:
All their patches are bad because they don't address the root of the problem. You can have a great house (code) but if the foundation (connections) is screwed you don't really have much of a house. When I get better results on my mobile hot spot than with wired fiber, there is a problem. Soon as my good/good+ hits don't fall or my pitchers throw everything out of the zone or down the middle, I know it will be very hard to win. Basically need to face someone that can't hit middle pitches which my daughter could do.
You keep talking about connections like it is an issue...you are wrong and it is annoying to hear you cry about this non-issue
You must be new here. We’ve seen these posts from demise for years haha.

Sliders have definitely been adjusted by SDS, this is ridiculous. I have ZERO hard hit balls now, no more perfects, no more squared up, everything is weak, okay or good. Pitch location is even worse. Make a directional division and a zone division so that directional people can have some fun and get some realistic results.
How is directional realistic
The people that usually make this claim about directional just don’t have the ability to use zone well enough to make the change. So they just complain about zone because it’s “unrealistic”.

I hope Correa is the end reward. His PoTM card a FREAK in 2017.
He's already got an 89 FotF.. plus they've given enough love to the 2017 Astros with that Springer card.
Why anyone thought that was a good idea blows my mind...Also, his potm card was made possible by a trash can
While I agree with everything you said, a 94 Correa with similar attributes to what he had in 17 would be pretty close to endgame. I’m not sure if there is a better primary option from May POTMs over the years.
Verlander. Which makes more sense imo
Good point. I wish Verlander was more useable online. He is one of my favorite pitchers to watch. I was just simply thinking from a perspective of being useful in H2H.
@Ikasnu said in For those that have Mantle, do you struggle with him?:
Got him a few days ago, he is worth it. Currently swinging over .410 with him online.
Yeah he’s been absolutely bonkers for me so far. He actually might be the best card I’ve ever used in all MLBTS iterations. Griffey in 17/19 and Mays from last year are the only other cards I feel like are on par with him. He’s hitting almost .500 for me with like 22 bombs.
