Just thinking....does playing Franchise earn XP toward the current main Program in DD? If so, I'm thinking that's a negative because while you're earning XP in Franchise, you are also affecting how much content you can complete in DD before reaching the XP cap.

The cpu bullpen logic in Franchise has been awful for years. Either they don't care to fix it, don't know how to fix it, or are incapable of fixing it with this game engine.
Same goes for roster/position management and trade logic. Frustrating seeing players sitting on the bench behind another player when they could be playing a 2ndary position. Then there's the trade block where the cpu will seek a position either the player they are trading away or someone on the bench has listed as a 2ndary.
-
And when the cpu isn't throwing trash, they are painting edges and tunneling pitches regardless of ratings. Same can't be said of user pitchers. CPU hitting feels OP compared to USER hitters too. It's just not a fun or enjoyable experience and has me contemplating moving on from DD.

Does the 40k daily cap apply to all modes (online/offline DD and Franchise)? If so, this is a huge hinderance to being able to complete offline DD content as I have limited time to play during the week and rely on the weekends for most of my progress.
-
Offline content shouldn't be held to the same 12 week seasonal restriction. Makes no sense for their to be a time limit on offline content. There is zero advantage to completing offline only content and earning rewards at a slower pace.
-
Not to hijack the thread, but I wish they would expand on mini-seasons to include the option of playing Live Series teams from select divisions. They could base the rewards off of difficulty setting used. Just something besides mostly God Squads all the time.
-
Seems like all they did was double down on seasons by combining seasons and sets. If I'm understanding how it works correctly, once the season is over, all cards except wild cards are no longer useable for the next season. So basically, each season is the new "set".
And why does offline content have the same season/set restrictions (12 weeks)? Why would SDS care if people, generally casuals or less skilled players, take longer to complete offline content? They would be earning lower rewards than the current Season; they are playing offline content so no "competitive advantage, and they are engaging with the mode. Does SDS dislike offline only players?

One of the biggest QoL updates they could do for the stadium creator is find a way to remove all the ridiculous # of duplicate stadiums or provide a filter so we can eliminate/hide some of them. They could probably eliminate over half of the stadiums if they find a way to get rid of all the duplicates. And a way to categorize stadiums (fictional, arcade, realistic, etc) would help filter out stadiums you don't want to see.

I'm just a casual player that enjoys Franchise mode and "offline" DD. I know I'm not the target audience, outside of Bob Kendrick, these two non-premieres where underwhelming at best. In two premieres they've got me questioning if I even want to play this game with Gamepass.
All I want to know is when gameplay and Franchise updates are going to be discussed and whether Sets and the ridiculous # of 99's is going to be a thing again this year in DD (not a fan of either). At this point, I'm thinking all that could all be accomplished in 15 minutes or less.

You get XP in Franchise mode regardless what roster/sliderss you use, why should MTO be any different? At the very least, live roster updates should be able to be used in new MTO's just like in Franchise. There also needs to be better roster management tools - from setting rosters at the start of an MTO (some MLB level players start in the minors and are never called up), to being able to call players up when you'd like. Even if they limited the number of call ups you could do, at least you could call players up when you wanted. The mode has potential, but the lack of a roster update is a huge eye sore.

I don't understand why they put the time into updating the mode if the base roster is going to be so awful. If this is the future of Franchise, then there should have been an emphasis on allowing live roster updates for MTO. At the very least, there needs to be a roster update. The base roster in this mode is awful. There are players that are never called up out of the minors and you have no option to set rosters at the beginning of the MTO. You are at the mercy of the game allowing you to call players up and have no control over roster management. The mode needs a roster update and better roster management tools. The fact that they haven't done anything to it since launch says a lot. Of course, it's a non-monetized, offline mode not called Diamond Dynasty, so there's that.
-
Doesn't make much sense that they bothered to spend time updating the mode only to have horrible rosters and poor roster management capabilities.
Unfortunately, I doubt they bother updating rosters, so it is what it is. I'm at the end of my 3rd MTO and forcing myself to play a complete game to avoid elimination (purposely losing so I don't have to endure playing every [censored] game of the playoffs). I'm probably done with the mode after this one. -
Finally gave up waiting for SDS fixing the problem and restarted. Second go around and already there are ridiculous God Squads in the mode. I have 4 games left to finish the season and I'm not sure if I will even bother with the playoffs. The aggravation of playing these cheesy OP teams isn't worth it. I'm done with this mode until the put some type of cap in place. If I wanted to play cheesy OP teams, I'd play BR, Ranked, etc.

I started it before the latest patch.

I just won the 1st playoff series and now have "an unhandled server exception" and can't get back in to play the final series.

I think it is a neat idea, but it needs to have a cap on team OVR. We're only 9 days from early access and 5 days from regular release and I have 2 teams in my Mini Season that are absolutely loaded. Both teams' avg 96 OVR and their lowest rated cards are 92 Tatis and Kuechel. I'm guessing this will only get worse as more people get better cards, resulting in Mini Seasons turning into playing 7 "god squads" that are mostly made up of the same players. If I wanted to play "god squads", I'd play online. I'll finish out the current season to get what rewards I can and to grind some of the FoTF missions, but after that, I'm probably done with this mode.
XP Cap explained
Playing the Padres is a miserable experience
The broken CPU pitching is making me already bored of the game
Good Lord XP
So, Sets & Seasons are back.
Can you confirm if mini-seasons will have fast play this year
Longer “seasons” with no card carryover is no different than ‘23 shorter seasons with carryover
Question for the the SDS crew
Storylines: Derek Jeter
Please allow custom rosters in MTO
You need to allow LIVE rosters to be used at beginning of MTO
Need Better Lineup Management
Mini Seasons: An Unhandled Server Exception occured
