Just finished 2 more games, w/ auto save on... crashed in the same transition from calendar to franchise management screen.

Wow.. Just wow !! What a waste of time, this game has become...
So frustrating... surely I can't be the only one experiencing this crashing BS.

Well, I was able to play a week of RTTS and a week of franchise. Yay !

I'd ask for my money back, but that won't happen.

I'm done.... won't play again, until this is fixed !!!!! If it's not corrected.. i won't be playing anymore this year.. and will have to seriously consider purchasing next years.... for the first time in decades.

I would like this option to return, as well.
I dont play a small market team ( red sox ), but having options did help in signing some free agents a little cheaper than their asking price.

Just checked RTTS player creation. Saw no create player as DH option. Maybe as change of position, b/c so far in my second year, I still haven't been able to choose an additional position. He's just at RF.. only an option to change position. Does anyone know if the option to add a an additional position, later on ?

Quick update;
Just tried playing with auto save on.
Went through 10 days -- 9 games w/ 1 off day.
No crashing. Coincidence? Maybe. Or, is the issue w/ auto save off ( manual saving on )

I love this game franchise... been buying since year 2, I believe, as at the time it was regarded as the best console baseball game. As mentioned, above, ive even purchased Playstations just for it. I've accepted most (of the changes over the years.
( a handful of gripes, but nothing bad enough to keep me from playing )

However, being unable to save games, consistently, has completely soured this game for me. It has made it, basically, unplayable, for me. As I cannot trust that I'd be able to consistently save my games, after playing through a game ( roughly 40 mins ea. )

Wasn't it said in one of the pre-launch vids, that DH will be an actual "position" this year ? Or am I just dreaming it to happen to be able to switch/create a player to ( not just assign them as DH in the lineup ).

Also, isn't it time to expand the ability to make/change players to wider range of positions ?
for example: utility players that can play the infield and outfield, together. They do exit irl

As the title states, i've been experiencing frequent crashing in franchise mode, lately.

Since the update on the 26th, when exiting a completed game-- where it takes you back to the calendar-- when i back out to the franchise home screen ( where all the franchise info/ workings are ), it started to crash back to the game's home screen, randomly every handful of games. Since the 29th's update... it's been [censored] near every game. For example; on the morning of the 29th, after installing the update, I had attempted to play a franchise game... it crashed at the same spot ( calendar to franchise home screen ).. i hard restarted xbox SX... tried again-- same result.. Uninstalled/ re-installed the game -- same result.. deleted my previous 3 days worth of save files and tried again-- same result.
I then tried to sim , from the calendar, a game.. it didnt crash.. repeated-- no crash, repeated once more-- no crash.
Played a game -- crashed at the same spot, AGAIN !!

Tried turning off the FOV ( background blur), this morning.. quick managed most of a game before entering it in the 9th inning.. finished the game and it didnt crash where it usually does. Tried a 2nd time, same result.. no crash. Played one more game.. CRASH at the same spot.

This particular crashing issue didnt start until the 26th's update. And so much more frequent, [censored] near every time, since the 29th's update. Before that, I had one crash in RTTS when it was loading back into the clubhouse, and one crash in franchise, when scrolling through player lists.

Also, not a crash but a total freeze, when I saved and exited a franchise game ( I was in the middle of it, when I had to leave ).. when I came back and started franchise mode to complete said game.. it loaded up, but everything remained frozen. Nothing was working, couldn't even exit it. I had to go to the Xbox home screen and close the game from there. Then, when I restarted the game, I loaded an older save from the game's home screen ( where you choose which mode to play ). That save loaded and I re-played the game that had been frozen. So, another bug that caused me to re-play a game.

I have auto save off and have lost many hours of playing due to having to re-play games that have had this issue happen. Now, im so fed up with this, I dont even want to play this game, anymore.... and I've been buying/playing it for decades.. i even bought Playstations just to play MLB The Show over the years.

Anyone else, playing w/ auto save off, experiencing the crashing issue ?

Do the devs, or anyone from San Diego Studios, even look on these forums... since we're always being directed to them ???

It's a bit disappointing to find that, even on full manual roster control, we still don't have full control of the spring training roster.

I, generally, dont like looking at my spring roster, every season.. knowing I'll have players I'll have to use options on ( or possibly lose, if theyre out of options), that I didn't want on the roster, to begin with.

Wish they'd fix that.
Setting all roster moves ( signing, re-signings, line-ups, etc..) to manual, should also include spring training rosters.

Since I haven't started my franchise, yet ( waiting for a post irl regular season roster update)

Can anyone tell me if, for spring training rosters, will the cpu still , automatically, choose players to call up.. despite having ALL roster moves set to manual ?

-- I'm speaking of the second in-game spring training, and beyond. I know the very first spring training roster is basically, set by irl rosters. --

It's very frustrating, to have players automatically sent to spring training, when I don't want to invite them and to have players I want to invite, be left out...

I don't remember when the last time we actually had full control of spring training roster call-ups was...

I've been experiencing a bug when the game replays my home runs.

most of the time, the announcer refers to my (male) player, as a female, when speaking about the home run.
it says "she" when mentioning my player, during the replay, instead of "he"

Oh, this is in RTTS, by the way.. not sure about the other modes.
( I'm waiting roughly a month to start my franchise -- to get a more accurate roster update, first)

Anyway to NOT have to do the quick time plays, in RTTS ?

I absolutely hate quick time button mashing in any game.

I've tried to disable them, but can't find the option, anywhere.

I already have player lock showtime opportunities turned off

However, I don't see any option for rtts, specifically.

It's ruining my rookie combine !!!
And, I image, will continue to ruin my rtts career, if they can't be disabled.
