I recently purchased the Bret Saberhagen card for $19010. I have gone on the pitch 17 scoreless innings with him. I thought I would try him out, only because the 97 rating for sub $20k was very appealing. Has anyone else found any other really good cards at a great value currently?

While I have no issues with removing check swings, drawing parallels to real-life doesn't work, because players can start and stop swings. So if anything, real-life examples only counter your argument, not strengthen it, because if we want it to be a like real life, that means we should have the ability to stop a swing we started.

Exactly. In real-life, the players can, in fact, check their swings. Removing it, would take away from the game being "realistic".
