I just finished my 2nd season with the Mets. 1st season I did on "Beginner" just to fly thru it for the XP gained to jump start the FOTF program for me. I wanted to play the 2nd season at a higher level, but there was no visable option letting me increase the differculty without deleating that season & starting a new MTO from scratch. But I opted to play a 2nd season with the Mets because all the call up's, trades & off season FA signings worked out awesomely beyond satisfaction. I was very eager to play that team I re-worked with all those transactions.

But now I'm rebutting what you said in your comment, which is ......

YES YOU DO earn all the XP rewards every following season played. My 2nd season earned me 50K plus in total XP just as it did my 1st season.

I did not receive any xp bonuses in my second season

Update: started a new save with a new team and got my gated xp at the mid-season checkpoint. Still don't have any other answers but at the very least, if you're grinding, you CAN earn the big xp bonuses but only if you are playing a 2022 season. If you take your team into 2023 you won't get the bonuses

I played a season, won the world series, got a bunch of xp for faces of the franchise program. Did the off-season, started season 2 same team. Made it to all star break and it said I don't get any xp for this save??

1. So is there no point in playing a second season if you're grinding MTO for xp?

2. I went to start a new MTO, there is now a silver star next to the team I used in the previous save. If I use this team again in a new MTO, will I earn xp or do I need to use a different team?

3. If I use a different team, start a new MTO, will I get the gated xp again?

I'm so frustrated. The game doesn't explain any of this at all and it's a lot of time to invest just to learn my efforts were all for naught.
