Take Showdown out of the game!
  • F FranchyzeMan

SDS should let us pay stubs to reenter with the progress where we failed rather than repeating the entire grind. When we lose a Conquest game, we don't have to restart the entire map - just replay that game.

This single handedly would make this mode awesome! The hardcore nature of this mode makes it so tense and unenjoyable for me. I would gladly re-enter as many times as I needed to and you wouldn't have to give me the rewards again as like the OP said, you would start off from the last moment that you passed. Seems like a win for everyone.

Are you even a Tigers fan? Discusting....we have garbage cards and the OP is suggesting that it would be cool if we got a "Tork" and you say no? Unbelievable....

Thank you for you almighty advice you savant, you. Maybe you can tell what's in Area 51 and who built Stone Henge? The forum, indisputably shows that many people are struggling with all showdowns....

This Showdown series was stupid easy. Too easy. Some of the single moment challenges like hit a HR in single AB were tough but it didn't matter because the boss challenges were soooooo easy.

I went into the final vs Price 6-15 and rocked his face off for the W.

I'm solid but not that good of a player. I'm in the 600s so far and in the 500s now after a couple losses. I've made CS once in 4 years.

Here in lies the problem....a few people are getting through these no problem. It's like the one person that walks into the casino and wins big on the first spin and then goes and tells people about it. SDS wants this so they can point to these comments and say that people are beating these things no problem. Read the countless posts about RNG and perfect/prefects going for outs. I firmly believe these are programmed to guarantee a set amount of entry fees getting paid..like a casino, probably enough to cover all of the stubs they are giving out and more...maybe next inning you'll be one of the ones struggling because your number didn't come up...

No, sorry. Not just me. Got a group chat of a Jonny Bench handful of friends and not a single one has had an issue with the 2nd inning so far. Very easy. Too easy.

Bosses of scoee a few handed bases loaded? Score ONE run v beiber with THIRTEEN outs? Then the main woth 20 outs? Childs play.

Ok. Check out the forum and count how many complaints. Way more than a handful.....this is not just a 2nd inning discussion either, it's a showdown as a whole discussion so make sure to count the first inning concerns as well...I'll wait....

    dude, it's 500 frigging stubs. 500.

A blind monkey could make back those 500 stubs.

People entering like 15-35 times comes out to $5k-$15k. Alot more than $500 total....do the math...there's free calculators out there on the internet...

Hey now, one too many beers. Get off the forum and come back tomorrow. I'd hate to see a ban for you, I'm sure at some point in your life, you've contributed something positive to other living beings on this earth.

Anyone talking about people whining is a joke and I could probably go talk to your family and co-workers to find out how much of an arrogant [censored] you are. People are venting because they care and want to enjoy this game. Get down off of your high horses and think about trying a little bit more humbleness. I know that may be hard for you with all of your perfection and all but please try...

I have read quite a few posts on here about how many attempts it took to beat them. I have read answers from like 1-35. That could be like $5k-$15k in entry fees. Is this what they wanted. Is it possible that there is some sort of code in forcing a set amount of attempts worldwide? The difficulty levels are clearly skewed and it feels like more of a casino gambling event playing a skill based game. I am now on my third attempt at the second inning showdown and both of my first attempts were pathetic. I have beaten every moment so far, including Created Player ones so I have no problem with grinding it out and working for things but this mode is maddening and I can't imagine a world that it makes sense to subject your mental state to this type of randomness/gambling. Its 70 program stars so not beating it is not an option for someone trying to get the 600 program stars. Feeling more and more like this franchise is moving towards a situation where my reflexes cannot keep up and I will be left behind as an average and casual player...

This game is absolutely terrible now . Wtf happen ? The hitting has gotten so much worse now . It was good the first week and now it’s resembling The Show 19 so much(Btw was a horrible game) . This NEED TO BE FIXED BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS when HITTING was being actually REWARDED

Crazy how some people consider themselves baseball fan. And dont realize it's a sport where you fail 6-7/10 times.

It’s not real baseball bro, It’s not like I don’t respawn in call of duty because i would die in real life

Except they are advertising the game as a baseball simulation, it's not an arcade game. players in real life can make great contact on a pitch and lineout or flyout, you don't see them complain that they should get rewarded for making great contact that goes right to a guy.

It's not about what they are advertising it as, it is entirely about what the average player wants in their entertainment experience. Read the forums and you will see a vast majority of people want this game to feel rewarding and enjoyable, and if that means big scores and lots of homeruns, so be it...

It’s just a place to complain bud. The guys that are happy with the patch are too busy playing. Only reason I’m on here is cause I noticed the game got way better all of a sudden and wanted to see if they patched it.

I'm just flabbergasted on how anyone could feel that the game got alot better. I mean, I'm happy that you're enjoying it, but I just cant see how....

Ok. IMPO, the worst ever, although I have only been playin DD since 2017. The timing windows are broken, good PCI placement not being rewarded, good/ok results on perfectly centered PCI 10 times a game, etc....

Lol. You are delirious. The last 3 shows, in order were
17 - be late be great
    18 - slow pitch softball
19 - mlb the lineout show

Ok. Just read the comments on the forum champ...many, many people up in arms on hitting since the patch. At the very least, the timing window is some of the worst ever, IMPO.... Also, many people have called 19 the worst ever and see how many comments you can find on the forum, comparing this game to 19, including the most recent post...

You're joking right? Ok Ramone....scroll through the forums a bit and read how like 90% of the community feels about hitting, especially since the patch...worst MLB The Show hitting experience ever, not even close...

This is the most hyperbolic claim ever. Worst mlb the show hitting experience EVER? give me a break lol

Have you even read most of the posts on the forum? You are most definitely in the minority....agree to disagree I guess but I can assure you that you don't represent the masses...

You're probably right Red_Ted.....just love this Franchise and have been so frustrated this year that it's even more personal in the thought of giving it up....thanks for the 3rd party outlook sir....

  • Moments in 20
  • F FranchyzeMan

Honest question...."what would you say is higher? Percentage of people saying they are too hard (especially Moments Xtreme and Story Lines) or percentage of people saying they love them because they like a challenge?"

  • Moments in 20
  • F FranchyzeMan

You're the man eatyum....great debate and valid points from both sides.....probably 25- 50% of the many that I completed took me hours to complete. Moments Extreme and Story Lines support my point more accurately so I stuck with those. I will say that I have never felt this frustrated since MLB15, when I first started playing The Show.

  • Moments in 20
  • F FranchyzeMan

My point is that there is a solution to upset even less....I was really trying that time.....dang...

  • Moments in 20
  • F FranchyzeMan

I get what you're saying and see that you are clearly taking the side of the top 25%. I appreciate that, so I'll stop trying to sell you on my point. Strictly speaking about myself, I buy games to complete them. I am fully aware that there may be challenges, but I won't purchase a game with content directed at only upper echelon players. Hard is fine, borderline impossible is not....its an impossible situation for SDS and one in which they can't make everyone happy, that is what you are saying and you are correct. My final thought would be "What percentage would be higher? Upper echelon players still ok with hard but not borderline impossible moments versus the percentage of average to below average players that feel defeated by borderline impossible game content?" They could be tuned down, still be hard, and still offer this difficult content that you enjoy. Seeing as though the forum has been begging for this all year, and little has changed, I was hoping that they would not be present in MLB20.
