    Everybody's Got a Wish List
  • fitzmagic42_MLBTSF fitzmagic42_MLBTS

After reading posts on the forums for the last year I see a common thread amongst all players. Everybody wants to be able to play the game the way they want to. Each mode has it's pluses and minuses and we play each one with the hope that the pluses unweigh the minuses. Even though we spend a lot of time on these forums questioning SDS's priorities and their willingness to listen to our concerns, we still play the game, however we like to play it and always wishing for more. I can definitely tell that some of you who post regularly are true experts on this game and when you send out posts to SDS they are well reasoned and genuinely would make the game better. I think the most common request I've seen is that unless referring to online play we just want to be able to customize each mode to how we want to play it. I'm not a hardcore simulation guy. I just like to see a likeness of myself playing baseball with real major league players and doing it well. I think all us have a wish list of what we would like to see in the game and options that we can have some control over. I think StinkyMcPooter has said multiple times that there's nothing wrong with SDS adding new things to the game as long as we have the option of turning those functions off if we don't want them. I've always wanted bigger storylines for RTTS and more interactions that affect outcomes but that's just me and I wouldn't expect everyone to want that. Hence the skip option should always be there or at least be able to decide at the beginning on the game if you want this option.
It's unrealistic to expect the developers to truly make this game as customized as we would like it but it would give some of us hope for future versions if they loosened the reins a little on the things that we enjoy in the game.

  • Agents and options

I know that there have been some communication improvements to your ability to speak with “Stephanie” your agent this year. I don’t know if anyone else would like more options or even more choices for who your agent is, but I do. At the beginning of your career it would be nice to have like four different agents to choose from. I know it would require a couple of story additions but being able to choose agents based on prestige (only represents the best), gets bigger contract/signing bonuses (which should be there when you’re the #1 draft pick), or team management contacts (helps you to get traded to teams you want), or the agent who is a little of all three types.
Each one can have their drawbacks like the prestige agent only works with certain teams and the big signing/contract agent can’t guarantee team choice and the team contacts guy doesn’t get big contracts. Also, you should have the option to change agents during your career. There would be penalties if you try to bail before your contract with them ends but you shouldn’t be stuck with the same agent forever. Just an idea for future releases.

There are a lot more details that would make this a better idea but I’m sure everyone else can fill in some of the options.
