    Completing Lightning S1 Awards Collection?
  • FischerPrice74_MLBTSF FischerPrice74_MLBTS

I've completed all the Awards drops programs (including the recap) and it shows I have 9/10 cards for the Lightning Collection, the only thing not unlocked is the Jumbo pack. Is there a way to complete this collection now or is it coming at a later date?

Your first issue is not actually a bug, the Tech Test sets your favorite team to ATL and at team select it will auto change to your favorite team (ATL). In the full build, you can change this to any of the 30 MLB teams.

Cool, I had thought since Atlanta was first alphabetically that it was resetting to that variable but that makes sense for this demo.

Just played around in offline practice, few notes here.

    My testing environment:

    • Switch 2nd Gen (Animal Crossing Console)
    • Docked on monitor with 3rd Party Dock (Skull & Co)
    • Pro Controller
    • Game stored on internal storage (not MicroSD)
    • Ethernet

My issues: (all text links to streamable videos of bugs)

    • Found a bug where the team would reset to Atlanta when another team was selected and then selected the other team Not a big, SDS explanation below
    • Equipment pop-in before batting (several times): Garver, Larnach, Polanco

The Garver one is the most interesting, his gear before it loads is the elbow guard and batting gloves with what appears to be an elbow-length undershirt on his right arm. Then, after it pops in, his right wristband, left arm sleeve, and his undershirt sleeves get shorter/disappear. Compare these imgur links: before and after. Found that interesting, like it started as a "default" space on his arms and then transitioned to his gear. Both Larnach and Polanco had 3/4 sleeves on to start, so this wasn't present with them.

    General Feedback

Looks are what I expect them to be for a AAA game on Switch. Will be interesting to see the final game storage size, these games should all be on 32 GB game cards at the least.

I'm not good, so I use button pitching and button hitting. Felt like there was a little frame rate dip as the ball got close to the plate, and pitching was very okay. I also didn't do well when using the pitch meter the one time I did it, because I expected "A" to be the button used to pitch instead of B.

All in all, I might consider picking this up if cross-progression works as it should. I will be playing on Xbox since it is on game pass, but if this goes on sale I would definitely consider it.

i wounder if they plan to make a custom pro controller or if i should just go buy a horipad and a split pad pro since my joy con drift

Get your Joycons fixed by Nintendo, but if you plan on playing mostly handheld, get a Split Pad Pro. If you play close enough to your TV, they're coming out with a new attachment for the Split Pad pro that allows you to use it as a wired controller and it has a headphone jack and stuff https://stores.horiusa.com/split-pad-pro-attachment-set-for-nintendo-switch/

I only use the Split Pad Pro anyway for handheld

    wish it had HD Rumble

Definitely, but it doesn't look like they're actually updating the Split Pad itself, just making a new bundle with the attachment so they would have to update the split pad to have rumble, which it does not (even though it should, but I don't know if that's Hori's decision).
