I'm just booting up the game and I'm having a similar issue. Three straight crashes. Let's hope this gets fixed fast.

Yeah, it's not here. Unless there's a way to do it from the cloud, but I haven't figured it out. I'm on the PS4 version and it's not here. Which is kind of a bummer.
It also confuses me since this wasn't an issue from the PS3 to the PS4 in 2014 but whatever.

I haven't bothered trying this new setup yet bc tbh RTTS is turning me off. For one, getting rid of the showcase games stunk. But then seeing how they revamped making your own player and it's...offputting. Waaaaay too much for me. I can appreciate that they wanted us to be able to put our created player in other modes not just RTTS but...it's too much. The older system was way more streamlined and made more sense. Plus I just ended up editing some of the franchise mode players into myself anyways so it was a wash.
I made two loadouts for my created player - one for hitting & one for pitching - and I'm pretty sure I did it wrong. It feels like a case of them fixing something that wasn't broken, at least in terms of creating your own player.

I'm sure when I go back to it to give it a proper chance I'll warm up to it a bit, but right now I'm just disappointed.

See that's what I thought but it didn't tell me that I did. The swing animation was that of when you miss a pitch badly, not when you foul a pitch off. It was weird but not a big deal.

From what I've played so far stubs are only earned if you don't touch the difficulty sliders in any way and leave them on their "Default Settings." Otherwise no you don't.
But if buying new budget funds with stubs is not a part of this year then that even further limits what stubs are even useful for, so that's a bummer...

I just did the update on my PS4 Pro, about half hour ago and it seems to be working ok.

Edit: I just got the Franchise error. So my game is broken too.

Disconnect internet and franchise will work.

I saw that, in the other post, thanks. But I shouldn't have to. They "patched" the game right? Not that they did anything useful...

RttS seems to work ok, so I'll mess with that until they can pull their head out.

agreed, it should not need to be necessary to disconnect internet.
TBH I'm more content with just going back to '21 for now until this is resolved.
Certainly not the game's finest hour.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the game. It did in fact work.
